I own a 2017 GMC Canyon. My problems included oil pump (multiple times), Oil coolant lines, key stuck in the ignition and now check engine light shows transmission related issues. I took to local dealer and was told that their transmission guy was months behind and to take it to a local repair shop. I have done this twice. Now I'm told the tranny has to be rebuilt and it will cost up to $4,000. All I can say is compared to Acura and Honda, even VW, GMC makes crappy products. Why was this failure of a company bailed out it the first place. GM deserves to fail!

Don't forget Toyota, Honda, BMW, Ford ect. Service departments stay open just changing oil and rotating tires . I've work in the automotive business for 20 years and all makes have problems. Not all cars break all the time but keep in mind they are Human made and that's why the manufacturer provides you with a warranty. The funny part is that the parts (electronics) that cause problems are all made by the same manufacturers Siemens, Motorola, Bosch and Samsung because not of the car companies make them .
I bought mt canyon new in 2016. Nothing but problems! The only reason why I still have it is because it’s good on gas and it’s paid for. Never ever buy another one again!
So strange how different it can be. I’ve got a 2016 that I also bought new and have literally not had one single issue and I run my through the winters in the rust belt. Sucks you’ve had so many problems.

Additionally truck only has 42K miles. The first three problems were all before the 20,000 mile point.

I picked up my 2023 Canyon Denali just this last Friday 06/16/23 and today the INFOTAINMENT screen died! Has anyone else had this issue??????
