These are actually really good! I've been using Sennheiser mtw 3 for a year and those were the best I've ever used over Sony, apple and Bose. These Denon are a step above. My one gripe is the fit. It's so difficult to get them in my ear quickly with a good seal, I usually have to try like 2 or 3 times each ear, so once I figure that out, these will be fantastic. Also the foam tips you suggested, which type did you get because Denon isn't on their list?
Also 4th rank doesn’t do any justice to these perfect sounding earbuds. I’ve tried them all and would never go back to anything else except Between 3ANC simply when I don’t feel like fiddling to fit the PerL Pro in my ears. As much as I love 3ANC SQ they too are not even close to PerL Pro SQ
Like I said if it's the best sound your after they're the best you can get! Interesting about the 3ANC though, I'm keen to compare the two

for me denon perl pro comfort with the larger eartip comfort is 9.5. What i found is you shud twist it in perfectly as they show in the manual, and it made a huge diff in comfort for me.
they dont need wind reduction a they have bone conduction microphones instead of normal microphones, which dont pick up wind noise.

There is an Enable/disable social mode and an Enable/disable social mode and pause option where you can toggle between ANC and transparency. Could you clarify why one would need a master enable/disable toggle on the touch controls?
Another great review, I recently bought these and I'm really happy with them. Interestingly I had to run through the AAT personalisation a few times to get it to the sound stage that I liked. I settled on the 4th test which gave me a bit more bass and rumble, which I liked. 90% of the time I am listening to these at home or while I work so the sound quality is the most important thing for me and these are the best I've tried.
Mine are coming in the mail today and I'm really excited. Sound quality the most important to me and out of all the reviews I've seen these are the best
@@AJR352 Give your ears a good clean and go through the AAT Test 4-5 times and then just settle on the one you like most. They're a great bit of kit and comfortably the best sounding ear buds I've tried and I've tested a lot to settle on them.

@@AJR352yeah airpods are trash unless you have an iPhone an even for iPhone sound quality is flat only iPhone users that don't use anything else thing they sound anything but. If you got a Samsung an want the best these are good but Samsung doesn't support the full aptx unfortunately so you won't be streaming high res stuff which is half the point of spending 350 bucks.thw Samsung buds works great for Samsung but they are built weird an not great for working out an horrible at blocking out noise for calls

These def surprised me fit wise. Like I thought beats fit pro were best for sitting in ear during workouts I was wrong this one hands down is the best I don't even have to adjust it while running for 2 miles straight an not once have I had to adjust it. My beats not so much. An like you said changing to half foam half silicone eartips def makes a huge difference
Also there is a long hold you have to just press it once first
Also you can change ANC off from the buds I set my left bud to one tap to turn it on an off an it works flawlessly. You might wanna take that part out.

I just got these buds, but I’m interested in the sonic foam. Did you get the SF2 or SF3 model? I can’t find the Denon on the compatibility list 😢
I found the SF3s way too small - returned to amazon
It’s so funny how individual all these things are: most of the best secure fitting earbuds on your list just fall out of my left ear without any intense movement, especially the ear 2, studio buds + and AirPods Pro 2 for example. The Sennheiser stay in the there without problems though.

I’ve been considering these for awhile because of the hearing test. I do where hearing aids normally so something that tuned to my ears is appealing. I have the latest IPod Pro and the Bose QC Utra but neither performs this function. At $349 I’m up in the air.
Other cheaper options with hearing tests include the nothing ear 2, oneplus buds 2 pro or 3 and most newer soundcore buds liberty 4/4NC even liberty3 pro

Congratulations best review of Perl Pro. I personally think the ANC on them is better than the AirPod pro and the app should let you control the ANC level finally those are the only earphones that gives me 7:30 hours sleep with no issue.

Try putting the IEM with a Bluetooth adapter on the list and its price is similar to the competitors. Where will it rank and how much does it differ in sound quality?
You’ll lose out on all of the features. I think the 3ANC is a good option if you want iem like sound. Or the alpha and delta ks100 1+1.
Fiio utws5 and dunu falcon ultra or timeless ae is fantastic lol.

I have six or seven sets of great earbuds, like the PI7 or focal bathys or technics AZ 60M2 or airpods max but the Denons outclass them all in my opinion. Best ive ever used hands down. The clarity, instrument seperation and loudness not.to mention the bass are 10 out of 10. Itll be hard to beat these. And i got them for 349 at jb hi fi 6 months ago on special!!!!

I used mine with NW A306 Sony DAP, and it's perfect combo.

@@pickyaudio When I see at bluetooth setting, the AptX HD connected to my Perl Pro, and the sound very close to wired IEM
With the A306 (volume caped version) they sound really low on volume.
@@killaforma now I use my perl pro witih Hiby M300 supported Aptx Adaptive, more detail and amazing soundstage.
@@jengkolholic I use it with my R6III and the Walkman A306 but mostly use it with my phone which gives me smooth listening and for comfort during my daily commute and also get better volume for listening with Aptx HD.

Great review! What’s your opinion on the Denon Perl Pro vs the Beoplay EX? I been battling between getting one or the other.
Overall features the PerL Pro are better. Sound wise the BeoPlay are great but more on the natural side. Even slightly more than the AZ80's.
All depends on what your prefer they should be about equal but some saw they hear smidge but more clarity with b&0. However Denon can match your ears an has better features to make it easier to use an I believe b&0 has been known to have connectivity issues no matter what so there's that you have to look out for.

They both neck to neck but the Perl pro have more bass, BT 5.3 and way better ANC and battery life but I have to say the B&O feels like you wearing AirPod Pro really comfortable.

My denon perl pro left earbud doesn't charge anymore, had them for about a month. Not very happy about this.

They are great at same level of Perl pro and B&O but with a huge flaw: Weak battery life 4.5hrs with anc and the price of $450
I can’t imagine Gemini II being that much better on SQ and won’t likely spend the xtra $ required… I’m interested to try Senn’s M4 2024 earbuds though!

The Pro's aren't on the compatibility list for the Sonicfoams. So I don't know which set to get. AH-C15PL.

Is it worth paying extra for denon perl pro and AZ 80 or should I just go for the cheaper options like One plus buds 3 and oppo enco air 3 pro ?
I am looking for the best bang for the buck earbuds. I am willing to pay more if it's worth paying for more.
Most people will be content with a pair like the oneplus buds 3. You can spend 3 times more and the quality is better but it's not a massive difference. The only way to know is tot try them for yourself

Somehow this lengthy review sounds somewhat negative until you painted correctly the SQ! PerL Pro are so far ahead on SQ than any competitors it’s just incredible.
My bone with it is mainly the difficulty to simply put the earbuds in ears; after months enjoying this incredible device I still prefer using my Between 3ANC and it’s easy ear fit! Now as great as 3ANC SQ Is they too are not close to match PerL Pro SQ! Its Masimo ATT personal sound profile is unmatched and I don’t even bother using additional EQ settings as this PerL Pro is simply a gem in SQ regardless of music genre one loves. Hopefully the next generation will make these earbuds an easier way to fit as opposed to wasting minutes to manipulate this PerL Pro will remain top. The SQ itself is surely worth $349 as the negatives exposed in this review shouldn’t stop anybody to buy the best of the best sounding earbuds. Cheers
Yep they definitely have some minor flaws but If you have the money to spare the sound easily makes up for those flaws!
Comparing both, I still prefer the Technics, I don't know how to explain, but to my ears, it is simply more detailed than the Denon. It's as if I had an orchestra at my side, Denon feels like a live band, which isn't bad.
I wanted to like these, but mine had a weird Hiss that I find unacceptable at this price.
Why isn't Technics Az80 in the sound quality list?
I had not tested them at the time of this video.
Another good earbud is the jlab ANC Pro
At 75-85% the sound just loses its composure, with treble overpowering everything.
Compared to the Technics, which do not let the treble overpower the other frequencies.

There’s only one issue really: earbuds fit! Anything else won’t be as important to those music lovers as Picky made it sound.

Also you can't use lossless streaming on apple an expect to hear a difference between aac an sbc lmfao there isn't going to be any sort of difference because Apple music doesn't support it. In order to give these a truly fair review you have to use a high res streaming service like deez or tidal that will allow lossless music. On apple music it literally cuts everything down to below cd quality an only on the iPhone with airpods will it actually get closer to lossless with their lossy format. That's just not fair to Denon to limit them or any high end earbuds to apple music. Like me using my beats on tidal an saying tidal doesn't sound different than Spotify
Also agree these are def loudest buds I ever owned. I can casually listen to stuff at like 20 or 30 percent an never need to go above 50 unless I'm running outside an that barely over 50. However on my beats fits pro or one plus I def had to turn it up to 80 or 100 percent
Yep that downsampling issue also happens with those app as well without the use of another app on android. It's honestly a nightmare with minimal clear info about it online. Let me know if you have any though and yep they're crazy loud

Terrible app and connectivity, bad comfort, way too big and heavy for most ears. These are way too overpriced just for slightly better audio.

SQ difference only deserves the price imo. Now hopefully the next generation will address earbuds fit as once they’re correctly fitted (indeed a tough exercise)comfort and weight are non-issues.
Room for improvement that's for sure. But we all have different preferences and a slight improvement in audio might be worth the extra money for some
I returned them due to bad connectivity and after a couple of hours they felt like a burden in my ears
If price is the determining factor then get the status between ANC.
I have both for a few weeks by now and i can not determine a winner between the two as far as sound quality goes.
You can't go wrong which ever you pick up.
The Denon require some tinkering in the EQ before sounding best.
The status has the most amazing preset in history. Choose the original sound profile and you won't need to change anything else.
