Just awesome!!! Congrats Europe and congrats to all the athletes, truly incredible. Next year this needs to be on ESPN, NBC, CBC. Loved it PTO, bringing some awesomeness during this very difficult time in the world. Lionel Sanders you monster, damn awesome, you flying canuck.
I would love to see 1 hr highlight from each race ! That’ll be everything
What a race! Congratulations to team EUROPE! You deserve the title! Good job and congratulations to teams USA and INTERNATIONAL as well for being good sports!
Loved it!!! Amazing results by the athletes! Proud of the Canadians! Hats off to the production team, captains, athletes, camera team, … what an amazing event! Looking forward to seeing this come back next year! Thank you for the highlights!
That was amazing to watch and excellently edited to show the best moments, thank you!
This event was amazing! And I hope to see it live one day!
Thank you for this!
A really excellent format 👏
Inspirational and extraordinary athletes 👏🏽
Hearing Phil commentate had me thinking of the Tour de France 🤣
Good to be inspired.
May I ask WHEN would be the time we could see the whole livestream feeds here, please?
It would be privileged to have several reviews on it again and again.
It was a really great event.
That was fun to watch. Surprised it took so long to come up with a cup series for Triathlon.
thanks for this
Can't wait to see this on ESPN next year!!!!
what a privilege it was for me to be in Samorin and witness those 36 amazing athletes and their captains. Thank you for the highlights video... I was watching my own footage over and over again just to see all the details that i've missed live ;-) Great to see the official footage now.
Didn't see as many fans as I expected. Especially with a big race the following day. Weather wasn't that bad was it?
@@runbikeswim0411 there were a lot of athletes from the next day and their friends/supportes that came with them. However it wasn't crowded you are right.... not many locals from Bratislava were interested to come unfortunatelly. The weather was great (we rented bikes from Bratislava and cycled to Samorin to see the race)
Yyh
Yyhh
Love it 👏
Really great event, needs to get more attention, atleast Athletes here get what they deserve prize money wise!
Phill Liggett ,comments,...priceless
Would've been a surprise to see Jan holding the South African flag aswell 😁🇿🇦
The dude with the cigarette, lol...
was this the voice o Phill ligget?
Yes
Great
team YOURE UP!
hell yeah europe
Cool.
So this wasnt quite a half iron man? 2km swim 80km bike 18kn run
Exactly. You'd think the commentators would be briefed properly.
Surprised team International did use a coach's pick for someone like Ashleigh Gentle. Add in a healthy Henri Schoeman and they've got a dangerous team.
From what I hear she declined her slot and he is injured.
@@TalbotCoxMedia Given Talbot Cox's pace across the course, I feel Collin was lucky to get the nod when Rudy pulled out.
sure... and what about an european roaster with Blummenfelt, Yee, Luis, Van Riel for the guys ... Taylor Brown, Periault, Beaugrand, Learmonth for the ladies team...
That's what i call a dangerous teams
Next venue series in warm places too. Eur will not last the heat.
LOL ! Obviously you don't know europe can be very hot
Bring it on ;)
My friends in UK get a heat wave on 28°C. That's aircon cold settings in Asia.
@@derkwei Uk is detached from mainland Europe and the climate is different. There are much hotter parts of Europe including deserts
Lucy Charles Barclay loves her some Lucy Charles Charles Barclay
Hahaha @32:00
Wtf how did sanders fall off his bike?
Ah wet paint he said
Ah I've see you've never cycled over road paint during a turn in wet conditions.
@@williamwyn I have but this video was so jumpy they showed him injured and didn't explain how until like 30min later
@@leslie7922 Not sure, I'd have to watch it back but though it was obvious it was the paint.
Also. I love Overwatch too :D
@@williamwyn you shouldn't, painted lines in wet can be lethal
One and done! A terrible format for triathlon. Nothing like bringing 36 of the best Triathletes in the sport together only to let a few at a time compete.
completely disagree. the format makes it different. make it a normal format, and it's just another triathlon/iron man event.
But why do you force non EU athlete to run under the shadow of the EU flag? The EU is not Europe! Its like having a North American team and having Canadians compete under the stars and stripes.
The UK more than punches above its weight, least you could do is incorporate the Union flag.
It's not just the flag of the European Union, but also the "flag of Europe" and the flag of the Council of Europe (not connected to the EU), the organization that was founded before the EU and that all European countries (except Belarus) are members of. So this flag is the only logical choice, there isn't another.
@@KilianRO why have a flag at all? The rest of the world team made one up 🤷♂️
@@McStoolio why not use the flag of Europe if it represents all 47 European countries (except for Belarus)? Then there's no need to make one up. The US team didn't make one up either because they have one, just like Team Europe.
This is a very good point.
It didn’t look like anyone felt forced. The UK athlete mentioned more than once how important it was to race for Europe.
So the question is, why force an argument that doesn’t matter to the competing athletes?
A boring format.
