    FAQ:
Are there bathrooms at the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show?
    Yes.
    Is Creek Street free?
    Yes.
Is visiting Creek Street and the Salmon Ladder worth it?
Yes, it was one of my favorite activities and completely free!
Is Holland America a good cruise line for Alaska?
Yes, we did the inside passage and loved it. It's cheaper to go northbound or southbound from Seward (Anchorage) to Vancouver/Seattle but we're glad we did the roundtrip route. We really liked that Holland America ships get to dock in each port, and we never had to tender into port or dock far outside the city and get bussed in. It was always only a 10-15 min walk back to the ship in case we needed to take a break/rest/etc.
When did you get your boarding time?
We received it on our boarding pass and via email about a week before departure. Our boarding time changed 3 times before finalizing a day before the cruise.
Since you booked a guaranteed room, when did you get your room assignment?
We were never notified via email, but it showed up on our luggage tags and boarding pass when we downloaded and printed them out the day before the cruise. Our ship was 100% full, but I've been told some people get upgraded the day of embarkation.
    Why get a guaranteed room?
It was cheaper and we didn't mind where we our ocean view room was. Our room was more aft than mid-ship, but neither of us got seasick.
How can I make the embarkation process go faster?
For arriving in Canada, download app: www.canada.ca/en/border-servi...
Download and fill out VeriFly for embarking: www.myverifly.com/#/
Download Holland America's app for easy communication on the ship without paying for Wifi. The app connects to ship Wifi and does not charge you extra to send messages only via the app.
    Can I embark/board early?
No, please do not arrive early. We were told the boarding times are assigned to ensure the process is smooth for everyone and there is no crowding.
    Do I need a passport?
Yes, we visit two countries (U.S.A. and Canada) on this cruise itinerary.
