Julie, you are EXCELLENT at teaching by showing us all step-by-step how to do something. This was a great video, and something I've wondering for a long time how to do! THANK YOU!
I'm so glad I found this tutorial with Sherry Serafini! I have the tools and now I can get to work on the cuff design I created.
This is excellent. I've been doing freeform and sculptural beadwork for many years and have always been intimidated by trying to glue suede onto metal cuffs for fear that it would end up looking awful and crooked. This is SO EASY! I am a metalsmith and make my own cuffs so this tutorial is perfect. Your instructions are super clear and easy to follow. Thank you for making this available.
Love your video. You sound so calm and unrushed. It's great. Thank you for sharing.
Great question. In the video I was just showing two different types of edges and it was easier to not stop, tie off my thread, and start a new one - therefore I just continued with the picot right after the basic. Normally however, you would start with just two beads. Here is a complete video just on making the picot edge: "How to Bead Embroider a Picot Edge"
Hi! I am so glad you like the videos! I can add your request to our video request list, we try to get to as many of them as we can, but unfortunately can not promise that we will be able to. I think I understand what you are trying to do and you should be able to literally stitch you beaded cabochon onto the ultra suede - just make sure that your stitches are small and discreet.
I live watching these videos. I was never taught any of this stuff as a child but now im as mother and want to do decorate and make things of my own. Ur like the artsy, jewelry, crafty fairy godmother !
I'm just repeating what everyone has said, but I love this and excellent visual and verbal instructions! I can't wait to try this myself!
I've been wanting to learn this and you explain it so well! Thank you so much!!!
The beads are sewn onto the suede and is demonstrated at about 8 minutes 37 seconds (8:37) into the video.
One of the best "how to" videos I've seen. Very clear and the photography is excellent.
Awesome tutorial, Julie! Very easy to follow and understand. She explained every detail. Can't wait to try this.
If I am not understanding what you are asking, please shoot me back another question and I will see if I can figure it out. Take Care, Julie
The scissors that we use in our videos are Fiskars. You can get them on Beadaholique . com's website. The links for the supplies in this video are located in the video description underneath the video.
Awesome instructor .... very detail and sincere sharing, thank you.
When stitching your focal bead in center you could add beads to the thread that tacks down focal...just an idea.
This video is so helpful. Thank you!!!
Thanks for posting love it!
Great video. exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Much!
Thank you 🙏🏽
