I rode my road glide st hard AF for 2500 miles. Then took it in for its first service. No issues. Everything was cool.
I’m in the same camp of not babying bikes during break in. I ride them like I would normally ride. The only things I follow from the break in procedure is varying RPMs/not cruising long distance at the same speed and not bouncing it off the limiter. Everything between that is fair game and I ride them like I always do and has been great on the last 3 new bikes
Just turned 1k miles on my Low Rider S.. my local harley dealer wanted over 600 dollars for the 1k service.. I laughed and did the 3 hole oil change myself.. oh and I checked all the critical fasteners.......saved over 500 dollars

Make sure to buy a Trask transmission top cover to remedy the blow by. This machine will suck lots of oil through the intake. Also make sure to get an air cleaner that will externally vent. If you get an HD ventilator you can modify it to externally vent and it look clean. Holyshift made a video recently and took it to the shop you’re going to and while on the dyno it’s shows the top cover working

Hey MK, as a Road Glide Special owner, I always wonder about the step down to the Softail frame. I really dig the style of the Heritage and the LRST. Are you happy with the trade so far? Any pros/cons coming from the Road Glide?
I’m super happy on this bike. The only thing I miss is the audio but I’ll have that soon on this bike

I beat the shit out of mine from 1 mile to the 5k I have you really wanna go through the rpms to seat the rings that’s very important
