    The Artwork, the theme, tower defense, quick playtime and one-shots with a good amount of variation. I'm hooked.

    I haven't played Dreadmire, but base Xenoshyft is brutal. The weather deck seems to add more randomness, for better or for worse.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop Před 6 lety

      GREAT question! I think you need Dreadmire after you have played Onslaught for awhile. You don't need both right away there is enough replayability in Onslaught for at least 8-10 plays. THEN if you are still loving, get Dreadmire for more replayability!

    Do you vary the items you buy or do you find that you end up purchasing the same stuff each game for these divisions?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop Před 7 lety +2

      Great question! Since the items are randomly set up and the divisions are randomly chosen, I Would say each game you buy very different items. Usually though when you buy one item in the game, you want to buy more than one in your deck as they will show up more often (very common in any deck builder). Hope that makes sense!

    I played 2 times yesterday this game (i havent played it earlier) and we got totally destroyed, in round 3 (wave 1) and then in round 5 (wave 2). Reveal effects can be terrible, and a lot depends on order of enemies.
    Maybe ill be luckier next time.

      Dreadmire is a stand-alone game from Onslaught. It can be used with cards from the original game but is very much designed to be played by itself.

    Not sure your playing this correctly. Psionic abilities, weapons, etc have to be attached to a Unit before enemies are revealed. They aren't played out of your hand.

      No, he played it correct. Instants (with the instant symbol) are played out of hand. However, in minute 30:00 when fighting the Bloodseeker he made a mistake by forgetting about the +2/+2 bonus effect. Nevermind, this game is hard as hell ...

    At 3:23 you played an instant to react to the enemy reveal ability. However p.18 in the manual states Players can REACT to enemy Reveal Abilities using "Abilities and/or playing Instants". The Instant part makes sense but what about Abilities??? Is the rulebook referring to TROOP Abilities that may apply? If so, ANY TROOP of just the one nearest the enemy? And for the other player can he react using an Ability of a Troop in his lane. This F ing game is so pissing me off. The rulebook SUCKS.

    • @IceTeaEdwin
      @IceTeaEdwin Před měsícem

      Page 19 says all players can use their abilities or cards to React towards the enemy. The Abilities refers to the troop abilities and cards refers to the equipments. Therefore, I would interpret that as the game allowing players to use their troop abilities and equipment to assist the players currently battling the enemy. If the troop ability says it deals damage then damage should be dealt, or health or whatever. The only thing is you can't move/deploy your troops into the other lanes until the wave/round is completed.
      You can use the ability of your troops as stated in their card, the distance to the enemy is mentioned only if it matters. If distance/position to the enemy is not stated, you can use the ability, assuming the description says you can use it.

  • @supercommando440
    @supercommando440 Před 2 lety +1

    Why is this game considered a “deck builder”? I dont see any deck building. You just gain a few new cards each wave and fight. Then they get eliminated or you keepem. Then repeat, hoping to draw better ones?? I dunno… I guess I was expecting some sort of Ascension or Shards Of Infinity style deck builder. The deck-building aspect of this game doesnt really look like deck building. Its more like, get a card, usem, get a few more, usem… and also looks like you could just use the same cards every time you play.
