Youngest of 6 kids(oldest is 45) and I'm the only one responsible and who cares to love and care for my parents, and I'm the disabled one!

I adore my family and really don't mind being the only one to be here for them because they always cared for me and taught me that family is such a precious thing, and it's nice being close friends with them as an adult because they are extremely fun to be around. One sister said they she would put them in a home, to which I replied "over my dead body!"
I'm also extremely lucky to have an amazing husband that loves them like his biological parents. I truly am a blessed woman
@@rach2909 I am sure your parents adore you. I completely understand. My dad has just turned 80 & have I never contemplated placing him in a home. He has given so much & now is our turn to be there for him. It's wonderful to have your parents as friends when you become an adult. So precious. 💖

This woman is ME! Omg! I take care of my dad who is in his late 70’s and has dementia for the past 16 years and I’ve noticed the role reversal especially since the disease has gotten advanced. It’s not easy and and it’s heartbreaking to see our parents go through this, so to see the humor is very uplifting.
Bless you. 16 years...its one of the most relentlessly cruel diseases. You have my sincere respect, as a professional carer, for your patience and undoubtable love.
I know that situation and I wish you peace. I hope you have a good support group and have assistance to give you some downtime for self care.

You're right...🤔 its odd that its something I didn't notice for a very long time and then suddenly it dawned on me.
It's even stranger when you're getting old and suddenly everyone else looks so young - like the manager at the grocery store.

Leighann is one of the best comedians I’ve seen in awhile. Timing, body language, storytelling, relatability are superb! She also has a certain willingness to make fun of herself & a kindness & tolerance of others’ flaws that is greatly lacking in many comedians (and maybe people in general these days). So refreshing!

This was really good. She used to be a regular on Neil Degrasse Tyson’s Star Talk podcast. Might still be. I think the format of the shows may have changed now, but he would always have a comedic co-host, and Leighann was often that person. This was a great, beautifully-delivered set. 🙂

That math joke was hilarious to me, I used to get beat by my mom because my grades in math were terrible. I always failed. And I applied for a bartender job and the only question in the interview was a math problem, and I asked could I write it down, and they laughed at me… lol… I got the job! 😏😏😏
