Sally "Magic" Hawkins and Octavia, so brilliant together. And Doug Jones and Michael Shannon, everyone was ace in the film.

TharusThe Dragon osamu tzeuko’s Phoenix series. Not sure if I spelled the name right, but it has an episode of where the main character of the story falls for a robot who looks like a human somewhat. Some swearing but great stories overall. If you’re a huge fan of anime, I highly recommend it
How about alien species? I would recommend the Mass Effect video game series. You meet so many different people from different planets with unique cultures and much like real people, some are good, some bad, some scared and some lonely -- but all want to be understood. Falling in love because of your experiences with and understanding of a sentient being in complete disregard of their physical appearance is somewhat freeing, no?
Star Trek is also good for this reason.
Splash is one such movie. Old, but interesting nevertheless.
