Part of my youth, the Sunday Folk Club in Plymouth, Michael always a favourite, have a good few of his LP's in store and even a few on CD. His Playing lives on!
He's an incredible musician. I wish I knew about him years ago, but better late than never. I love all of his music. What an underappreciated artist! I'm doing my best to spread the word and have introduced him to a number of friends.
Beautiful ability, captivating. I discovered him the day of his obituary, so many years I have lost to listening to his music while he walked this Earth.
He lives up in Northumberland, in the wilds. Saw him play 10 years or so ago in a pub with about 40 people in, just down the road from his house. Genius man.
I was blessed to hear him play at the Brampton Cricket Club a few years ago. A solid air event at a fabulous little intimate venue. That's the closest I've been to a legend, although I was only a few feet away from Maddy Prior and Rick kemp at a Carlisle Cathedral Epiphany Carol Service this year. I hope to hear him again.
Absolutely brilliant.. What a pleasure to listen to this pure-style music-legend. I think he is higly underrated - and I think he is enjoying that.. Such a great guitarplayer/songwriter. This performance is spectacular... Thanks for sharing...
It's incomprehensible how we have been robbed of proper music like this, stations replacing it with these little pissheads wno preach negativity and zero values with what's called rap music. I sincerely hope this isn't the start of the end of music like this
Sublime. as ever. Rest easy, Mr. Chapman and thank you for the music. You will be greatly missed.
RIP to the one of the all-time greats
Old men rock! Simply sublime playing that can only emanate from a God-given talent and the soul.
Been a huge fan since Rainmaker 1969 , fabulous guitarist, and great singer.
The first time I saw him I just couldn't work out how he played the slide parts. Then I realised he was using his wedding ring. What a player.
+Chris Pellow A wedding ring is all you need for one string

Hello thank ;so beautiful rythm and sound. EmaB guitar teacher from Paris
This is truly a masterpiece that deserves way more awareness and recognition. If zeppelin or genesis done it then would be world wide acclaimed
Why compare a musician with pop performers?
Not really a comparison, more of a statement.
Playing live at www.thelighthousedeal.co.uk/ Monday 20th May with Ehud Banai if anyone's interested
Alsowesome jam. 🤙 Very deep ...you are an amazing guitar player
Steve Gunn and Kurt Vile brought me here

This music remains for all time - yes much is more ephemeral. RIP Michael - we're all blessed with his extensive & varied musical inheritance.
