Calogero Lorenzo "Chazz" Palminteri is an American actor, screenwriter, producer and playwright. He is best known for his Academy Award-nominated role for Best Supporting Actor in Bullets over Broadway, the 1993 film A Bronx Tale, based on his play of the same name, Special Agent Dave Kujan in The Usual Suspects, Primo Sidone in Analyze This and his recurring role as Shorty in Modern Family.
Billy truly captured the spirit of NY in a special time. Those songs will live forever. Long Island pride!

I've met Billy a couple of times at his motorcycle shop in Oyster Bay...He was always so nice and gracious...One time me and a few of my motorcycle club brothers rolled up...He was there and opened up to let us in..We spent an hour or so asking him about his bikes..He would tell us stories about the bikes and how he got them..I'm a musician and every time I'd ask him a music question, he would ignore me...The guys in my club thought it was hysterical...One of my guys pointed at me and asked him "hey Billy, could you use an Italian guitar player with a bad attitude in your band?"...Billy looked at me, waved me off and said "nah, I have an asshole like him in my band already!"...We all fell on the floor laughing!...I have the distinction of being called an asshole by Billy Joel!...I swear on my mother's grave this happened!...It was around 8 or 9 years ago!...
BILLY JOEL ON EPISODE 15?!? JUST INSANE!!! LOVE THIS

Why did he fook up and loose Cindy Crawford. Everyone wants to know.
WE NEED A COLLAB EPISODE WITH BILLY AND THE BABES! 😍
He's Chazz Palminteri

This is simply fantastic. Two entertainers that they just don’t make anymore.
Amazing how patient Billy is while Chaz asks him the same tired questions that have been asked and answered 10,000 times before.
WOOOOOOW! Can't wait to listen. Only Chazz!

I can't believe how down to earth Billy is, being that he's such musical royalty. Cool that he's from Long Island too, me also being born in The Bronx then later moved to the island. Rosalinda's Eyes my favorite Billy tune. Great channel Chazz from a fellow Sicilian - both sides from Corleone.

Gawd this interview is awkward in spots. Cold "Spring*s" Harbor... Italian Restaurant? It's *Scenes From an Italian Restaurant.
What's your favorite album- The Stranger... orare they all about the same? What a choice... "Gangster"? on Mulberry Street?! 😂
Nice guy, but as an interviewer... 😏🤓
As always, Mr. Joel is gracious to a fault, and this is just another example of what a national treasure he is...
Billy is so humble and so down-to-earth despite his extreme talent and success, what a special man!!!💓

If you grew up in an Italian or Irish neighborhood in NYC, you would have thought Billy Joel was bigger than the Beatles and the Stones combined. Every song from every album gets tons of jukebox time till this day. And Piano Man?
That's the East Coast version of Hotel California. Every bar, every night...
and like "Hotel California", overplayed.
Billy Joel’s Italian Restaurant song is his Bohemian Rhapsody!
It’s an Incredible song!! 🎵🎶🎶
Love it. probably his best. It's like four songs in one!
yes it is! Its such an epic packed into just a few minutes!!!
@@3hooks781 Well said & totally AGREE - It's an EPIC song!!
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant**** is the name of the song.
Shout out to Homeless Pimp... without whom this literally would/could never have happened!!
YOOO THANK YOU! LOL
@@homelesspimp No, thank you for 'going for the ribs' 😂

Billy Joel is one of my favorite artists , I wish i could see him live , then I can die
I met Chazz when he was in AC promoting his stage production of A Bronks Tale..he very graciously let me take a selfie with my little friend Joey..she grew up in his neighborhood and she was too awestruck to ask. Me I know he is a sweet guy so he said make it quick I gotta be somewhere..I snapped it and shook his hands and thanked him profusely..you made her life! I knew you were as kind as my father. He looked like he'd sooner bite your head off than make anyone happy. But it was just the opposite. I love Billy Joel..so many beautiful songs. So much heart.
Best part about Joel at the garden are his "Multiple Choice" bits where the crowd picks from 3 less popular songs. You know you're gonna hear Piano Man and Scenes From An Italian Restaurant but, instead he'll throw out "Pick one of the following: Zanzibar, The Downeaster Alexa or Baby Grand" 👏 👏 👏

I’ve seen Billy Joel 8 times. I sang his songs as a kid and now I sing them in the car with my kids:). His songs have brought so many great times with my family. Thank you Billy!
The most humble, real one out there. He’s such a truly good guy, he really is…zero ego or attitude about him, whatsoever. The most satisfying thing is when you’ve supported an artist for so long, and they’re as good of a human being as they are an artist. You’ll sometimes hear people talk about how lucky people 200 years ago were to be in the same time as someone as brilliant as Beethoven (who is one of Billy’s musical idols). In 200 years from now, future society will be envious of US for living in the same time with someone as gifted as Billy Joel. He’s STILL at the top of his game!
Billy’s songs and powerful soul lifting lyrics really helped me growing up in my teens (back in the 90’s) which was a particularly shitty time for me. His music just kept me going. It’s amazing how much his songs helped me…there seemed to be a song for every emotion, feeling I was going through. A truly beautiful man with an incredible gift…Billy Joel music for life y’all!😎❤️
Hello Carly Warly,
Thanks for the love and support for years ❤️.
It's nice meeting you here.
Billy Joel gave graduation speech for my class at Fairfield University
In 1977, my mom sent me to the grocery with a list and money. I went to the record store and bought "The Stranger" LP. I was 16. I assume I also got my mom's grocery items, and I assume I used my own money for the album. But I remember how much I played that album over and over once I got it home, and loved it.
This is the best interview from someone who really appreciates Billy as an artist and a friend! Thanks for sharing!
Yey its Monday Chazz day!!
I love Billy Joel new York state of mind
Great job Chazz very cool that you were able to have Billy on!
I hope Billy releases at least one more album of new songs before he passes.
Two of my all time favorite entertainers! So great to see you both! Your show is awesome, Chazz!!
My father grew up in the Bronx around Arthur Avenue. Went to Cardinal Hayes. He would talk about it often. When a Bronx Tale came out it validated all his "stories" which I assumed were grossly exaggerated. He passed in 2010. That movie is like a home movie of my Dad's childhood. Thank you for that Chazz
I’m from Levittown he is our Hero my son is 12 and knows all his songs
Been listening to Billy since 1973 at age 4, Piano Man on vinyl in Jericho, NY, 1 town adjacent to where Billy grew up in Hicksville, NY. Loved seeing he and his daughter performing NY State of Mind, didn’t know his brother was an opera composer. Awesome. My new favorite Billy song is Stiletto. The words and beats are so moving, and being a married man the words are so true to life even more than She’s Always a Woman, All for Layna. All of his songs we ❤️ cheers🍷🍷
I saw Billy in Chicago in the 1970’s. We were young and Billy was great and had thick dark hair. Such a super artist. Thank you both for this interview.

I did not know Chazz had a show...two of my favorites...Chazz and Billy ... Chazz I am married to Irish Mike Nixon (boxer) I met you on the set of Muholland Falls. What a great show you have here. Great memories of Chris Penn and Muholland Falls cast. Cheers! Billy Joel you are still my favorite ...you remined me of my husband...tough guy with all heart!
My "Uncles " were Don Rickles and Joey Bishop..I got reprimanded for not saying hello to them when they came to visit my pop. This was in the 60s when they were all appearing at The 500 club..
Firstly, Billy Joel is my favorite artist of all time, and I admit, I was really excited to see this video thumbnail. It's basically the most recent update to learn how Billy has dealt with being a musician coping with the past year of quarantine/isolation, yet this interview was such a let down. Not only did we NOT hear about how Billy has spent the last year, we didn't get any stories that haven't already been told countless times in his masterclasses and other big interviews (i.e. Howard Stern). This was the first time I've ever seen a Chazz interview, and man, I really wanted to like this. Such a true lack of preparation. I can understand being nervous about talking to a legendary musician (I would be nervous myself!), but simply drooling over hits like Piano Man, "Italian Restaurant," and Just the Way You Are, doesn't do any good for the fans, and Chazz was not showing us any indication he's a longtime fan. Billy even said flat out he's tired of most of those hit songs. Sorry Chazz, you could have done much better than this.
I cant believe u admitted that! So weird
Très vrai
he didn’t have to put it out he could have just talked to billy on his own.
I love glass houses 😁🤘🤘 favorite album it’s always on repeat!!
I absolutely Love Billy. He seems like a nice man. I went to his concert a few years ago.

Yesterday I watched Michael Franzese sit down with Chazz Palmenteri, today it's Mr Palmenteri in conversation with Billy Joel, does it get any better? Much love and respect from South Africa.
Next week it's Nelson Mandela
I was born in 1998 and billy Joel is my favorite singer i finally got to go to his concert at the garden dec 2019.
Billy Joel is a great Rock N Roll Machine!!
Hearing Zanzibar at the Garden was a definite favorite. Fabulous horn solo, just incredible. Loved seeing him at the Garden!!! Not something I will soon forget. All About Soul reminded me of myself and the many challenges I've faced; it's how I hope my husband sees me. Be well~
All of Billy’s stories are great, but the best ones in my book are the ones that include Liberty standing up and throwing his sticks at him at some point! Billy’s the greatest! 😂
This was an outstanding interview! I love billy Joel’s music! Thanks you sir!
This was ICONIC! Great interview Chazz!
this was SO CUTE. when pimp got to ask questions i genuinely got so so so excited. GO PIMP!!!!

Two great legends
Billy is a great and very down to earth guy! I’ll be going to one of his Madison Square Garden concerts later this year and I’m excited.
Uptown girl!!! ♥️🎶🎶🎵
simply amazing!!
Love Billy Joel.
This is a wonderful episode. My favorite singer and actor together.
One of my favorite interviews ever !! A legend
Everybody is such a big Billy Joel fan and Billy doesn't see what the big deal is. That's what makes him great!
I'd adore a Chazz movie - perhaps a thriller - greetings from Greece. We love you Chazz.
What you said Chaz about seeing Billy in Madison Square Garden is the ultimate truth… I will never forget sitting way up in the cheap seats and he was playing Piano Man… At one point in the song he stop playing spun around on his stool and just looked at the crowd and I get chills describing this because I could imagine how he felt. Everyone was singing the words to his song ...no music… no coaching... no prompting... My wife and I were fortunate enough to shake his hand as he was crossing the street in Sag Harbor. He was all alone and about to get on his motorcycle and we introduced ourselves and said to him “We’ve been listening to your music forever“ and he answered “So have I”. He is real people... sort of what you see is what you get.

Great interview! So glad I caught it!
Once heard an interview on Satellite radio of Rod explaining the reluctant tedium of Maggie May. Can you just imagine!..!??
Billy seen you dozens of times, and even with my parents. Another imagine!
C haz we miss you in Baltimore. Thanks both for being authentic!
I will always be a fan and look up to Billy Joel. He was so authentic to where he came from.
Billy Joel!!! Excellent...
LOVE THIS GUY. MAYBE THE BEST MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME.
Well.. not really. I love Billy, but he's not the best musician ever. Surely a top 5 pop rock piano player of all time.
Per me lui è il n 1

Love the pic of Chazz, Nick Nolte, and Chris Penn on the set of Mulholland Falls, one of my favorite movies.
I feel so much better about our new Billy Joel inspired character that is coming out soon. I gave him a strong NYC voice lolol. Got it right thank goodness. The man is a legend. His music will echo for hundreds of years. Great interview!!!

Liberty Devito's drum stick throw meant the truth was coming. He kept Billy from making "Movin Out" sound like "Laughter In The Rain".
The only thing better then a Billie Joel interview...is a Billy Joel interview by Chazz, way cool!!!
Than*
Great show
Piano man love those lyrics. Amazing how he first made the music then added all those funny words. Superb
God bless Chazz 😇and Billy Joel 🙏❤♥
