Here I used Mitsu-Bishi drawing pencils, a few different hardnesses, just scribbling and sketching on some cardstock, basically thick printer paper. It's nice because it has a little bit of tooth.

I love your voice, and story telling. So soothing and relaxing.
I saw the pics on instagram, they're really cool! I love walking at night, too, I have autism and I get way too overstimulated by my surroundings in the day. The night is more gentle, and you get to see the subtle things which exist but are drowned out by the noise of day.
Probably autistic too and i always prefered night.
Sounds are an incredible subject rife for study. I've walked alone at 10k feet in the Sierra Nevadas at least 25 miles from the nearest road and it seemed quite loud. I've lived in South San Francisco at the end of a flight path out of the airport where it sounds like huge aircraft are coming thru the front door and not heard them fly passed. I've walked in crowds of 10k people and felt all alone. Oh yes, it's quite the topic!
Really enjoyed your story about walking at night. I used to do that a lot when I was kid/teenager and lived in a neighborhood that connected to several others. I had a lot of the same thoughts and feelings you described. Man, I miss doing that!
