So at 6:47 - the person from SkillCapped talks about how vision control is less important due to the increased point of entry, but then in the clip from Loud that he shows later on around 8:05, the ensuing sequence is completely antithetical to that argument. Loud's pressure comes exclusively from having first move and full control over the mid-side entrances. The reason they have so much space is from having a tempo advantage off pushed waves. If anything, the pronounced difference in terrain between mid-side entry and bot-side entry makes first move even more important in the current meta
I dont think you understood what was being said in that sequence of the video. The whole part of the video is talking about how the choke moved from either side of the dragon pit to contest and instead to the dragon pit itself due to the massive wall being added making that path narrow vs 2 side entrances that allow for escape but no contest of the dragon.
Also idk if youre just using buzz words but the tempo advantage isnt what gets them into that position its purely how the map is setup now. There is no way redside time will ever hold that position on brush for blueside team because blue side has no reason to ever get near that bush and a bad fight for red pushes them into a choke infront of blue buff or away from drake behind it. Conceding that area and taking tribush is the most consistant way to get everyone to drake and theres no reason to push thru that river bush unless its to start a fight.
The point of that segment was to illustrate how the new choke is the dragon pit and that the team that starts drake first is at a positional disadvantage which according to your “tempo advantage” Loud should be in the pit but they arent. Its a shot calling decision that they recogonized the pit in this scenario as a death sentence based on compositions and it was easier to engage rather than disengage for their comp during the dragon fight.
@@ultraaran15 The earlier part of the video that I referenced, 6:47, explains how vision control on the entries to dragon, as well as having first move to the area to setup on the pit, are no longer as important because you can no longer restrict the opposing team's entry into the area as effectively as before when there wasn't as much as space to maneuver. My point is that the ensuing clip from Loud, which he's using for a different point, but that I can reference for the previous argument because we aren't NPCs and are allowed to connect different parts of a video, is in direct opposition to that. The team Loud is against is completely barred from mid-side entry into the pit and river area specifically because Loud had a faster reset and push on the mid wave to allow them entry into the river and control over the major intersection behind blue buff as well as the mid side brush. This pushes the other team down river, towards the bottom side, where the enclosed space with the new wall he's pointing out is. If you combine those two concepts (what happens in the video, and the disadvantageousness of the terrain the video itself points out), it's not hard to realize that being first to an objective to properly control and ward the area is still as important, if not more important because there is a clear advantaged side of the Dragon pit - the one adjacent to mid lane - as it has more open area to move in.
If you watch that Loud clip back, starting from 8:05 as I referenced, you can see that Red side is regrouping off a late reset - they're there much later than Loud was and thus could not push the mid wave and move into river first. This is the first move/vision control being referenced in the earlier time stamp I point out, and it is no less effective even in the modern map. Red side has no ability to expand their vision line towards the area where Loud is mostly setup, and is thus forced into a worse position that is more vulnerable due to the wall the video points out.
As for the comments regarding buzz words, I feel like you would only say that if you have never had any expereince with organized play before. I have coached several collegiate and CL teams - if you talk to any player with an honest drive to go pro or semi-professional, saying "support has a tempo to roam, care" or "we have a tempo, they haven't reset" they'll almost certainly know what you mean. It might be a foreign term to you but in my experience it's an incredibly common one among the professional organized play scene. If you need an explanation on what it refers to, it's explicitly the timing advantage gained from having taken a more timely rest than the opponent. It directly a[lies to the Loud case because Loud are first on the map to push mid lane and move into river, you can see this because MAD isn't centralized on mid lane, and have had to backpedal to the mid tier 1. The ensuing rotation and fight is a direct result of a tempo advantage or a tempo to take vision control over upper river.
Hopefully that explains my point.
