  • This is from my 14/15th century gown video about Christine de Pizan, a medieval poet and defender of women’s rights. She wrote some of the most enduring works from that time.
    The kirtle is wool, the shift, fillet, and veil are linen. I bought the veil pins from ‪@OpusElenae‬

      Middle class. It could also be a very nice outfit for a peasant. Peasants tended to wear solid linens IIRC in natural dyes of browns, greys, yellows, and greens. Patterns were hand embroidered and more expensive.
