I honestly don't understand why there is so much hate for Nickelback. I have been listening to them for years, and I will continue to listen them for years.
Because social media tells them what to think. Kinda like when Mel Gibson left "racist" remarks on his exs voicemail. Everyone (mainly white liberal 20 somethings) told blacks we should hate him, but honestly, I thought that shit was hilarious.
Everyone goes through shit sometimes, and I've said way worse during arguments with my exs. Besides, that's not going to magically delete all the awesome work he's done, in my opinion.

Chad Kroeger is the only reason I dislike them. Other than that they have many good songs.
I'll tell you why I think they are hated.
1 - Songs sound pretty similar to each other.
2 - The songs itself are quite repetitive and with the structure (same guitar riffs, same vocals, same baselines, etc....)
3 -´They've became a meme in the music industry and its cool to hate them.
For most casual music listeners these reasons are irrelevant ( because the songs are catchy,they groove etc...).
Meanwhile if you have listen to other types of music you might find their songs kinda lazy, boring after a couple of listens.
Despite all that and being more than a casual listener I don't dislike them and I might sing along to their songs
They're good at what they do. They just don't do enough for me

I’m a long time rock and roller. Have played drums in a few bands over the years and can honestly say Nickleback is great in concert! They really get the crowd fired up! Chad Kroeger has as great and unique voice as you will find. Great song.

I dont understand why so many people hate nickelback. I think they make decent music, the riff in this song is actually pretty cool to be honest.
People who say they are the worst band ever are blowing it way out of proportion, there is so much worse out there like Black veil brides, blood on the dance floor, falling in reverse, the list goes on and on.
It's because people like these guys, their shallow and don't have a full understanding. I respect them for liking their music that they create and putting it out anyways not listening to ignorance. If they listened to all this prissy prunes on how to make their music they wouldn't be rock stars and if they were I wouldn't respect them.
I don't want no Metallica coming along. They're great at their style of music, they're not here to please everyone and change their style of music and what they like for them.
So RESPECT to NICKELBACK and if you don't like their music and want something that sounds different PLAIN AND SIMPLE listen to something else. Go listen to another generic song.

I'm not just a Nickelback fan I actually have a very large spectrum of music I like.
