Fun Facts for those who don't know.
J.Cole is j-Hopes biggest influence/inspiration and muse. JHopes album "HOPE WORLD" is a play on J.Coles first album "Cole World". The BTS song "Born Singer" is also a play on J.Coles song "Born Sinner". The Avirex fit hobi is wearing is also homage to J.Cole. The street Hobi was on at the beginning is the SAME EXACT street J.Cole filmed his "SIMBA" music video on. And hobi dancing during Coles verse is because hobi before BTS used to dance to J.Cole songs back in the day.. The visual easter eggs and homage paid to J.Cole in this by hobi is insane. Shows his genuine love for a GOAT like J.Cole.
This whole collab is legendary and will be cemented in history forever.. This a big W for Kpop and HipHop

j-hope is a South Korean Rapper, he makes his own music. he's a great lyricist and a marvelous dancer. j-hope is joining the Military Service soon (it's mandatory for Koreans), so "On The Street" is his goodbye song for his fans until he returns in some years. He used to dance to J Cole's songs when he was a street dancer, his favorite album is Cole's album "Friday Night Lights" , an inspiration to start making his own beats. Also, he named his first mixtape as "Hope World" after "Cole World", even now, he showed the big respect he has for JCole, he gave many bars while j-hope was dancing to his bars, as he used to do when he was an underground dancer. j-hope is a hip hop lover who has been experimenting on many directions to his music, he recently released his solo album "Jack in The Box", its really an album for hip-hop lovers. To end, j-hope joining JCole for meeting at the roof is really meaningful and doing a song with his muse, as j-hope said, its really especial.

J-Hope has more than just chill. You must have heard ARSON, MORE, STOP, WHAT IF, BASELINE, Hangsang. Those are not chill. All of the rap line have chill, and hard hitting rap/hip hop songs. That was a huge compliment for J-Hope when you said he was like the J-Cole of KPOP or the Rap Line? I can't remember. I think J-Hope's style can be more chill at times, and he is more melodic. Also, this song was written for ARMY as a good bye for now, because he announced his enlistment,. He will be the second member to enlist in the military.

The lyrics and the MV are describing his journey to where he is now. The lyrics of J.Cole are also very related to j-hope's song Arson (you have to listen to it). Therefore I say that the lyrics are very meaningful especially for j-hope's fans.
