If I recall, this was ‘89, the tail end of the era, though the song itself brought in the 1980’s. I miss those days (even if I wasn’t old enough to remember them)
I think this was later and not when the song was in the charts. I remember the backing singer was pregnant on Top of the Pops in 79. The suit reminded me of David Byrne's big suit!
@@RussianBlue15 Yes, the song was re-released in 1989 so I would guess this is him performing to the re-release. He looks a bit older here too than the 1979 video.
This is as close to the 80's as you can get. When was it released, 31 December 1979!!!!!!😅
The lady dancing in the pink/yellow outfit is nice. Great song
Robin Scotts' wife, Bridgit Vinchon.
@@jamesbarbour8400 She looks great
Look at that suit!!! 🤩
Best use of a pack of CD-Rs in ages!
The vibes are on point. Favorite song this.
I was 12 and loved this...
Me too same age 😂❤
Brigit is an excellent metronome for this song!
I'd estimate it was recorded at roughly 112 beats per minute, or 224 bounces per minute!

Top song- ageless.
Woow! Amazing video! Love Robbin and Brigit!
Still a catchy cool tune.
He was gorgeous, still is x
This song is ❤❤❤
Nice #CD suit 😉
In 1999, this would have consisted of AOL trial CDs. If you know, you know.
There should've been more of her in the official video.
She was in the 1979 video!
My favourite 1 hit wonder
Its his daugther Berenice Scott at 00:16
- the baby daugther that was featured on the cover of the Pop Muzik Single
What?!!! What a fantastic singer she is with so many....Phil Gould!
So that would make her Bridgits' daughter too, since she was Robin Scotts' girlfriend/wife at the time ?
Funny, they did not have CDs when this song came out.
Great post. Thank you and Happy holidays.
This performance must be later in the 80's after CDs came out. Only thing I can think of.
😂 truth
La agrupación de Robin Scott y Mark King 👌
Where’s Phil Gould?
Wearing a suit of CDs. There wasn't a CD in the world when he made this song :D
This is the most 80s as it can get
And I love it! It’s so much better than today. ❤️😃
Technically it came out in the late 70's 🤓
1979

Excelente rola😊
i want that suit
👍
I am too. 👋🙂
In 1979 CDs already existed?
I say it because the singer is dressed with CDs...
I think this was later and not when the song was in the charts.

He's performing a remix of the song that was released in '89, but I imagine CDs were still quite expensive then.
The first compact disc was manufactured in 1982.

What year was this performance?
1989
@@luisramirezclaver8022 you can tell in the 1980st because the top of the pops set looked like a dance club
What year was this version?
Spring 1989.

That woman seems to be the same age as in the 70s
The girls at 0:16, are they just randoms or band / family members. Anyone know?
They look like they were hired to dance there. While not complex, it looked choreographed, or at least rehersed.
Are those CDs???
No FD
Why does he look like George Hamilton here without the tan 🤭
Keep an eye on flower on her chests.
Todo tiempo pasado fue mejor
has this guy gone through a time warp or something? he's wearing cd sequins....
