Standard day of a WW in DCS:
> Dodges SA-3
> Dies of a headshot from a BMP 3 km away
Yes... They needd to tweak the BMP and Tank HMG accuracy against fast movers. Helis, sure... But Id put my life on the line that some drunk ruski isnt hand-cranking a fuckin BMP with accuracy.
@@DonzeJ Nah! Totally realistic! I do shots like that in Battlefield all the time! :D
@@GeorgeGordonNCA I bet, but Robin Olds is my spirit animal and his mustache is angered by the mere idea of a BMP clapping a majestic phantom. So clearly something must be done.
Lol this is so bad in dcs seriously bmps are literally more dangerous to planes then gepards and shilkas
Oh so that's what keeps happening in my sodding Hind.
I am 51 years old, and I remember when I was in my teens late 80s my stepdad took me to an air show. I remember two aircraft that I fell in love with. One was a A 10 and the other was a F4 E. Has been one of my favorites ever since.
First airshow I ever went to was NAS Brunswick, last season that the Blues flew A-4's, and I had the same experience as you: the Blues and the Tomcat and the F-111 were cool and all, but the Warthog and the Phantoms did no-shit-for-real gun runs on the grass between the runways during the show, and I absolutely fell in love.
Exact same age as you. I’ll never forget that first Navy F-4 high speed pass at the Miramar NAS air show my first time going. Mid 80s. It was soooo loud lol.
@@737Maxter Saw some F-4Gs taking off, along with F-104Gs, when I was 10. The F-4s were much more impressive to me. They were doing short field take-offs, holding the brakes and lighting the afterburners while on the ground. You could really see the nose getting pushed down. It's been one of my favorite planes ever since.
I’m 52 and got to visit the USS Coral Sea in the early ‘80s on family day. My cousin flew with the helo crews that were on standby during carrier ops. They still had Phantoms and I was smitten.
A 10 is a sexy bird but not really the best in ground support, but that's just my opinion. F4 was also sexy in that when you saw it at airshows it just looked fast. The airshow I went to back in the 80s they had it fly just feet off the ground just in front of the stands and I was really surprised at how loud the jet was. Very cool stuff.
Heatblur could make a trailer about a Minivan driving through a carwash and I am all in. Well done Heatblur. I am excitied for this!
hahahahah sooo true
...and I would even pre-order this van ;-)
Waiting for that minivan. I’ve got the money
Especially when you have Adrian Caparzo behind the lens
DCS: Minivan confirmed! 🎉
If this isn't the prequel to TOPGUN as TOPGUN 3, I don't want it.
Topgun prequel with Mav's dad in F-4's would be spectacular
@BringTheRain they should also make a prequel about how Maverick and Goose met
@@skyraider87they were told to fly together by the USN that’s how
@specialneedsmolester1957 well duh. But I want to see a story about how they got to know each other
The legend himself :D
My dad worked on the F-4E Phantom in the 1980's. I was born on George AFB which was the F-4E Wild Weasel Formal Training Unit. My earliest memories are of seeing them doing overhead breaks and seeing the long black smoke trail and how loud it was. Those core memories carried through with me my entire life. This aircraft is special, embrace this special time we live in. Thank you Heatblur.
I lived in Sunnymead now Moreno Valley and I use to see and hear those F4E's all the time. There was a wireless cable system in the late 1980's that allowed me to listen to the radio traffic. Dean Martins son use to fly F4's out of George unfortunately he crashed
My oldest son was born at GAFB on 21 January 1984. The 20th was part of the 35th TFW...and trained German pilots on F-4Es, however the Wild Weasels were in the 37th TFW and flew F-4Gs. Small difference, but...F-4Es are quite different from Wild Weasels in terms of SAM suppression capabilities.
I was in VFA-105 and when we got our first Hornets we were sent out to George to fly with the Germans who were out there training on the F-4E a memorable DET for sure.
This is true. In the 1980s Wild Weasels were G models.
Flew the German F4-F as a WSO from 1984 til 2001! Loved and still love the Rhino and I'm looking forward to see and fly it again in DCS!!!
Hi Gerhard! Thank you for your service! We are always looking to expand our team of SMEs (subject matter experts, aka former F4 crews) - if you would be interested, please pm me on ED forums, user "IronMike". I would be looking forward to it! Best regards from the Heatblur Team.
Im just going to call it right now that this will hit the record for biggest sales numbers of any module in DCS history. This jet spans generations of enthusiasts, air and ground crews from all branches, and multiple countries. It means a ton to so many. An F-4 Phantom at a study level in DCS is like a dream come true. Thank you Heatblur!
multicrew aircraft is a great business move too haha. buy one license for yourself or two at the same time at a discount for you and your RIO.
Nonesense, it may have some history, but it‘s too old for a big part of the playerbase. The real record breaker will be the Eurofighter.
@@yoshiegg95the playerbase is mostly older as flight simming is expensive tbh. The Eurofighter is cool, but niche.
What I don't know is who's the current sales leader, I'd say F/A-18C due to the mix of maturity of the module, navy, widespread and well known, and ease of use
Dude…. It’s an old jet that is half as capable as the Viper. Let’s not push it.
@@bartzipori7354 Well no shit its half as capable, thats why its older and why it fights mig 19s/21s/f5s. Are you stupid or something?
These cinematics and your high detail modules are the reason you're the best dev team for DCS out there. Love it Heatblur!
Awesome that you guys got Adrian to do the trailer its one of the best trailers for DCS!
You could say it was a bit *WILD* 😂
Adrian is the Polish Power for DCS trailers, Oorah !!!
DCS World Fan Movie V might be my favorite video game related video of all time, the music and cinematics are just perfection. My first thought with this one was wow, they really took some inspiration from Adrian, my second thought was no way did anyone else make this they must have hired him.
My grandfather was the chief electrical engineer for the F4 wild weasel program and ultimately retired as the chief electrical engineer at Lockheed on the YF-22. He's no longer with us, but he left me with an awesome picture with all of the engineers on the F-22 project and the plane was hand drawn by the artists at Lockeed.
ITS HAPPENING

My longtime CPA was an F-4E pilot...he was in Vietnam for almost 2 years. During my initial flight training when the CFI or when I chose to work on incorporating ATC @ a controlled airfield @ an international airport vs the non-controlled rural fields I normally flew out of...The Controlled airfield also had (still does) an Air National Guard Wing based there...at that time, late 80s early 90s was the tail-end of the F-4s being part of active squadrons...Even so, never failed late afternoon in the summer, with the temps on the Tarmac exceeding 110'F and 90% humidity the last place any person wanted to "hang-out" in was a tin can with wings aka C-152....I guess my schedule coincided with the F-4 squadron doing their weekly flights because after I was given clearance to Taxi to the active and hold short...inevitably, as I was approaching melting stage I would get the dreaded call down from the tower..."...4245 Papa Sierra you need to taxi to the edge of the taxiway and allow DIXIE 1 AND DIXIE 2 to roll past before you are cleared... already close to passing out, back then no GPS or digital flight computers beyond some non certified hand-helds...so everything was using a real kneeboard, pencil or pen and adjust your analog instruments...Each time I thought I would make it I would hear this rumble although I had my headset on.... I open the C-152 window and admire the landing gear and under carriage because couldn't see much above when they are 10-15 t from my left seat...they always contacted me and gave me encouragement though, either waved or saluted when they rolled past me...but then it would happen...When 2 F-4's cross the holding line and begin to make a 90's degree turn on to the active and my clueless, sweaty arse melted to the C-152 seats...to get those big birds over the small incline just beyond the holding line they had to apply power...I literally thought my tin can was going to be blown over and I thought how humiliating that would be...Pilot killed without ever becoming airborne or reaching the runway...he was bludgeoned to death by 2 F-4's massive engines....the very first time I thought was cool but made the mistake of leaving the 152's little window cracked open as much as possible with my long lanky arm dangling outside of the aircraft attempting to get any air circulation...Well, I think some of the gravel, rocks, small debris remains embedded in my left arm....literally looked like I shot by a 12 gauge with bird shot (ok, maybe not that bad but it made an impact...in fact, numerous impacts so the next time I made certain to give them much more space and to hold back well short of the holding line....Even in the misery of the heat, being stuck taxing and holding for 30-45 minutes, arm impaled with every loose item between the F-4s and my little 152....OH, I didn't mention or not yet...it was all worth it...Because when they lined up a little offset from the other and began rolling basically at same time...I swear they were so loud it made my 152 shake...I could feel it in my bones...what a sight to see them rotate and depart...of course, the tower would contact me and inform me I had to wait for another 10 minutes or however long due to wake turbulence concerns.... Apologize for taking a trip down memory lane but I wish I could experience all of that again...worth every liter of fluid I lost by being forced to sit in what amounted to an oven...a tin can with 4 flame throwers spewing heat in my direction...after giving more thought to those days...I'll pick nearly any other time but those days if I had a chance to go back in time...Cool yes...Subject myself to that again...Nope...Take Care
ps. If curious, the F-4s were based at Birmingham, AL International Airport...they fly refulers, tankers now....
The only difference between Eli 21 and First In, Last Out is the jet used, but yet again, Adrian Caparzo nailed it
exactly my thoughts!
it was extremely good but extremely similar to ELI 21
Phew... Didn't realise Adrian did videos for HB. For a moment, I thought this was going to be like the Spudknocker scandal all over again! 😂
@@hotdogdcs2761what’s he been up to now?
@@keithbuddrige5064 A bit too similar to eli 21 yes, but eli 21 is an absolute banger, is it possible to do better?
@@Q3ark when Operator Drewski called him out for straight copying one of his videos.
Another masterpiece by Adrian Caparzo! Holy Moly! Thank you Heatblur.
The opening part I was like man this reminds me of ELI 21 😂
Guess I know why!
I thought so - ELI 21 was incredible!
I worked on the F-4E/G Weapons Control Systems which included the radar, AIM-7 missile firing guidance system and AGM-65 missile firing. Did this for 11 years. F-4Es were never utilized in the Wild Weasel role but they did fire AGM-65s, so this is accurate. The 20th was a fighter squadron at George AFB that trained German Luftwaffe crews. The 20th had the newest F-4Es in the 35th TFW. Wild Weasel missions were conducted with the F-4G using the AGM-88 as a primary weapon and AGM-65 as a secondary weapon, with two AIM-7s in the aft stations. I never saw an F-4E or a G with an AGM-45 or AGM-78 loaded, whether operationally or as part of an airshow.
I have a long history with this plane. Grew up a few miles from George AFB. Several wild Weasel squadrons there. Used to go to their airshows. My civilian flight instructors were all moonlighting fighter pilots from George teaching at Apple Valley airport a few miles away during the 70s and 80s. The F4s flew an "oil burner route" low level tactical run right over our ranch shaking our house. I remember flying a C-150 in our practice areas and these guys would launch out of George. I could always spot the exhaust smoke 10 miles away. They would come at me in two flights and split. Ine going over and one going under me. I could actually look down and see their white helmets. I was about 17 or 18 at the time. Exciting! Later jn life, I owned several planes at AV airport and all my hanger neighbors were ex F4 drivers. Always loved hearing their stories. I've sat in a few and had F4 driver freinds who invited me to the offices club at George AFB too. All my fellow classmates in college aviation classes were F4 mechs and crew chiefs. So basically I was heavily influenced to love this plane right from the start. Yea..Ill be buying it.
Adrian Caparzo is a cinematic legend for DCS ! Even before I found out who made the latest video I knew it was his work ! Love your work Adrian ! Together with the geniuses at Heatblur you make a formidable team ! Can't wait for the F4 , thankyou for your passion and commitment! 🙏❤️
I was a crew chief on the f4e at Ramstein Germany 81 to 83. What a wonderful experience.
I cant wait for the damn release already
As a Weasel pilot in DCS ..this makes me stupidly happy and Heatblur's wonderful model and texture work is outstanding as always.
Props to your cinematic team ....they did great as well. :)
Now ...gib Phantom, we are all itching to fly her.
fly him!🙂
each to their own , but boats and crates will always be hers for me. :) @@ash_makes
Awesome job Adrian Caparzo.
Oh wow! Very cool! I cannot wait to get my hands on the F-4! Thanks for the trailer Heatblur!
Same! Great to see you here man.
No words!! Caparzo videos are stunning!! GIMME MY PHANTOM!!!
RF-4C took the photos at the beginning....Phantoms everywhere!
This is the most Ace Combat thing I've seen in DCS, and I've watched all of Nassault's videos. Very good. More like it.
This might be the best DCS cinematic I have ever seen. And there have been a lot of tremendous quality. Great work, Heatblur!
I'm gonna love this module.
Excellent work Adrian, as always. Already got my pre-order in. Now I need to go watch your ELI 21 video again. :3
Superb performance, can’t wait! 🫡
This is amazing! Is there a chance us cockpit builders could grab access to the dimensional data early, like you have done with the manual? Thank you so much!!!!
Im just 14 and i get to see the phantom every year in airshows since it is in service with the hellenic air force. I love it on an indescribable level. Thank you heatblur for all you do.
Amazing video. F4 module on order. Can hardly wait!!
Like a movie! great job Heatblur, cant wait for the module to release.
Recognized Adrian's style instantly! Great work guys!!
Holy shit, this is by far the coolest trailer for a module ever!!! Mind blown! Good work guys! Wow
LOL! Too realistic! "How?! I can't see shit if we're upside down!"
Can't wait for the steam release, already pouring in the manual! SOOOOO EXCITED TO FINALLY HAVE A HIGH FIDELITY F-4!!!
My first aviation love, in VR to boot!
Adrian with another fantastic edit. Glad you guys recruited him
Adrian Caparzo did it again. Fantastic thing, cant wait to fly the Phantom.
Getting Adrian on board is the best thing that could have happened for Heatblur and ED. Amazing work - looking forward to the module.
Just amazing!
love the WSO perspective with the maverick!
I don’t remember the last time a module promo gave me chills. I’m taking pto tomorrow for this 😂
Too much to watch this evening!! Masters of the air and suddenly Heatblur drops a gameplay trailer
"Eli-21" vibes right there! and excellent editing as usual by Adrian Caparzo!!
I always wondered how did F-4s aim its Mavericks, I didn't expect it to be from the radar scope! Great job as always Heatblur 3:46
Maverick come in rdr or eo guided forms. I've only been exposed to EO(electric-optical) guided ones.
@@patrickgriffitt6551there are no radar guided Mavericks, only EO, FLIR, laser, and CCD guidance.
@@tinglydingle you are absolutely correct. Dont know why I said that. Probably watching too much air combat videos on u tube. Been 30 years since I've been active. At any rate thank you very much for correcting my misinformation.
The radar scope is almost a bit like an MFD. Shows radar, weapon imagery, TISEO camera, etc
same way as viggen pretty much
masterpiece, simply another of the legendary Adrian Caparzo's creations
Cannot wait for the F-4 module - another great video, and that patch at the end - priceless. Sierra Hotel Heatblur!
Thanks Heatblur and Adrian Caparzo for this masterpiece.. 👏
Wonderful video! Gives me PTSD from the ELI 21 video.

What a video! Adrian Caparzo I bow to you sir. If only i could make vids that good. Top stuff HB!
Incredible edit and incredible work on the aircraft. Looking forward to getting it installed on our machines at AFROTC Det 105.
I knew Adrián's style as soon as I saw the map! EPIC! Thank you!
Anyone notice the flight of A-6’s on the map? Hopefully that’s a hint the AI version is coming soon too.
The radar visuals and sounds reminded me very much of the phone transcript scene from Chernobyl :D Very nice cinematic as always Adrian!
Heatblur certainly knows how to hype the sim pilots, and for good reasons! =]
Manual already available online? That's huge! Thanks a lot
You guys are on top of the trailer game. I'm so inspired holy shit

Damn, this trailer really was an experience !! A true masterpiece. Hat off to MISTER Adrian Caparzo !!
Omg that's so good cinematic! Great job🤘
This just went unreasonably hard. Can Heatblur please start making movies? That was too good to not be a movie. That was literally the best trailer I have ever watched in the Entertainment Industry. HOLY MOLY
This really reminds me of the scene from Behind enemy lines. Even the shots are similar, great work.
Another beauty of a video again. Nice footage. Nice atmosphere.
Basically recreated behind enemy lines opening fantastic work also the phantom has that og McDonnell Douglas look the 70/80 super hero plane that comes to eff your day
I love the touch of viewing the manual in-game by clicking on the button/control in question. Outstanding learning aid. Curious to see how items wearing out come into play.
The hype is approaching dangerous levels! Ill be reading the manual over the next couple of days!
