Didn't come here from anywhere. As a 90's baby, I grew up with these movies and songs. No one can beat Rajiv Rai's stylish direction and Sangeeta Bijlani's glamour. The 90's still rock!
Alone Alien till 90s hindi/ urdu film industry was not called Bollywood, so they use to make sensible movies reflecting our culture and our way of life. The trouble started with the rechristening of this industry as "Bollywood". The movies made after that are mostly for western audience OR for NRIs. Indians living in India can't relate it. With this deterioration started. Till late 1990s, hindi/ urdu film industry could boast of movies which made sense. With the advent of english speaking movie makers like Karan Johar and others, bollywood is known more for making culturually agnostic movies or semi porn movies. I feel sad to see this free fall of standards from grace right in front my eyes.

@Sai KR I disagree. Today only emotionless brutally realistic feminist movies are made. And I myself am a woman by the way. I get depressed watching today's movies. Today's films and web series are engrossed in endless sex and violence sequences.
