The 757 was my first plane i ever flew on. I first realized that from the sound of the flaps. The sound of the engines was amazing too. Because of this, I actually said this,"That aircraft is a sexy thing that." lol
The 757-200 and more particularly the 757-300 are 2 incredible airplanes. It's a shame that BOEING didn't take the time or money to 'replace' this amazing aircraft in the future (the 75's are from about 1982) and now AIRBUS is trouncing BA with their very cool A321s!!
The A321 doesn't hold a candle to the 757. It may be a more fuel efficient aircraft today, but it lacks the raw performance of the 757. I was recently on a Delta A321 from Phoenix to Minneapolis and back and the takeoff roll felt like it used most of the runway.
@@NWA744 an A321 isn’t going to use full engine power if it has a long enough runway to use reduced thrust. Every airliner does this. It reduces fuel consumption & engine wear. If the runway isn’t long enough for reduced thrust, then they will use normal thrust.
I found out more about the aircraft so here’s more: It is registered N546US It previously flew with NWA It is 27.3 years old It has 2 Pratt & Whitney 2037s And finally it is a Boeing 757-251(WL)
Splendid video from Manchester! 757 is such an amazing aircraft. Has one of the best thrust to weight ratio of any aircraft, if I remember correctly. But regardless.....it's an impressive airframe.
I always considered the 757 rocket ship to be the best Boeing ever built. Too bad they discontinued production but the airlines stopped the orders. Too expensive to operate.
Not quite. Remember that this is an American plane. The numbers on the tail of the plane are its registration numbers (as it is in the rest of the world as well). The numbers on the front gear door vary in meaning from airline to airline in the US. They use those numbers as a way of identifying that particular airplane from the rest of the fleet. In the rest of the world, usually the last two numbers/letters from the reg are on the gear door. But for this particular plane, this is not the case.

This is the best transport airplane ever made, period.
I love high-pitched engine sounds, with an added buzzsaw effect.
WinginWolf the cfm leap too on the a321neo!!!
@@utfgamingyt8294 no, that's just a vacuum

The engines are so OP for this aircraft. Love it!
And just think, the C-17 has 4 of them.

GE didn't make engines for the 757. It was either RR or PW.

Same but I first realized the sound of the inside to the flaps and engine it would say the 757 was there for me since I was a baby
My first was a madog
Mine was a 767
Mine was an a319
Roses are red
Violets are blue
When I listen to 757’s taking off
My neighbors do too
I guess you’ve never heard a BAC 111 or Convair 880 take off. Now those were screamers
Delta aircrafts always have the smoothest landings in my opinion
No kidding?? The two delta flights i flew on (an Embraer EJ135 and a Boeing 717) were the smoothest landings I have ever felt.
@@Dave-dh7rt i think I've only flown on the 737 aircraft and even their landings are smooth
I love the engine sound on Boeing 757

@@NWA744 Agree! The 757 was built to replace the 727 and match the short field performance (which it certainly does!). Nothing else like it.
@@NWA744it probably did. What’s the point of burning more fuel just for a shorter take off roll if you have a long runway?

757 is a real powerhouse
I always considered the 757 rocket ship to be the best Boeing ever built. Too bad they discontinued production but the airlines stopped the orders. Too expensive to operate.
I went on that airplane design to go to Tampa Fl and Atlanta GE but it didn’t have an engine roar to it for some reason.
When traveling on aircrafts. one of my favorites rides. It's on the Boeing 757.
Like a rocket!!!
757-200 First I flew on with Monarch 1986
Sounds. Like our old GE air conditioner...🤗✨

. at how many mph do the wheels leave the ground ?
sandy moonstone太阳 I think it’s anywhere between 160-190 mph for airliners depending on aircraft, capacity, weight etc
PlanE is going to leave
Interesting. Very beginning of the vid, look at the engine fans. Very different spinners. One is a spiral, the other is a line
where from?

It generally makes a better video if you keep the subject of said video in frame.
