  • In my last video I reviewed the GCRC Caiman Chassis, and on first impressions it's brilliant. So I'm super excited to get this installed in to the ECTO to try out.
    Links to the parts I've used in this transplant (that weren't already on the ECTO).

    Another good video Phil good job you've got a spares stash .
    I'm fortunate in that I can make and or adjust links at work but definitely need to add to my stock of bolts .
    Looking forward to next installment of this build 👍👍👍

      Thanks Geoff, the spares did come in handy for sure. I like to think that I make the mistakes, so others don't have to 🤪

      Thank you. The music was a happy find, made me chuckle and seems to fit perfectly for those D’oh! moments that I seem to regularly have. 🤣

    That rrc servo mount is awesome, had mine for months now and no issues.

      It certainly looks like a good quality item, and (spoiler alert) works great so far. 🤙

    Looks good and for shocks I would have used the FT shock (90mm) if the lizards 🦎 don’t work out for you. Am doing a RPRC interceptor chassis build and still haven’t decided to use element enduro gk or vanquish vs4-10 w/portals. Can’t wait to see the complete build running

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  Před rokem +1

      Thanks. The wheelbase I ended up with just meant that the 90mm DLs were too short for the rear axle in the “semi-droop” that I wanted. The 100mm seem spot on, but we’ll see how they perform!

  • @ekpauly
    @ekpauly Před rokem

    Don’t use 100mm shocks..ever. Get some traxxas 2660 big bore and convert them to losi mini T springs. Or just get some Dlux fab dravtech shocks. Awesome progress though. I can’t wait to see more. 🤙🏽

      Too late 🤣. I know it’s generally considered a bad idea, but I need the reach rather than the travel. Can always limit the travel if it has too much flex. At least that’s my theory 🤪.
