How do you figure that it would make more sense for the Templars to believe Sigismund was divine, over the emperor? Sigismund was one of the first Astartes, if not the very first, to convert to the Imperial Cult. It was either Sigismund or Garro, depending on when Garro truly accepted the faith. The Black Templars' religious devotion is the result of the first High Martial, enforcing and preaching of his own faith in the Emperor of Mankind
