Before coming here, we didn't expect the town of Hvar to have so much to offer. We were sightseeing all day and I think it was not enough. We saw the Franciscan monastery, the Old Town, the promenade, the Španjola fortress and the park surrounding the entrance to the fortress. We sat in the park for over an hour and marveled at the smell that prevailed there.

We bought lavender magnets - they smell divine! By the way, we talked to the lady selling souvenirs made of lavender 😍 Both the city of Hvar and the entire island of Hvar are famous for the cultivation of lavender.
