Awww, that dear cottage, I bet it's smiling from front to back, you've made it so happy, it's paradise. Love the metal shelves and baskets, if the baskets don't have drainage be sure to make some cuts in the bottom. The big one too, you wouldn't want your garden tools laying in water while you're away.

The front door where it’s yellow you should paint it white to match the other door. The flowers should be your extra pop of color

Such a lovely and calm sleepover, i really want to sleep in our allotment garden this summer. The checkered dress you wear at the beginning of the video is the prettiest, i love it. The secret terrace is looking so cute. Add a minty green of sage for the lollipop doors !

Hang your last metal basket above the round table in your back yard on the wall. Put a bunch of candles in it. Use it for your outside light when at the table.

Guilty of mowing my grass at 6pm and finish around 8pm 😭 I’m not a morning person and i also don’t want to faint mowing the grass in the afternoon with this heat so I wait when the sun is starting to go down and it gets a little bit cooler 🫣

Everything is coming together nicely! I can picture some deep purple flowers in the baskets to go with the lavender stripes added to the color scheme. The cottage looks so fresh, cozy, and inviting. Just beautiful with your special "Elise signature style".

I have those same fairy bulbs and I didn’t realize there is an on switch under the lids! Lol 😂 I had them hanging for 3 days before my husband figured out the switches! Once turned on, they lit up so bright at night Your cottage is magic 🪄 ! So nice to have sunlight until 10 pm! I remember having that when I lived in Germany 🇩🇪 thanks 🙏 for sharing your special place!

Azaleas, Hydrangeas and beautiful flowering trees are native to the area.
I'm not sure the type of Bush is in your front garden but I would consider trimming it back some. It's very happy and grown to big, Just a suggestion.

I enjoyed every minute of your first sleepover. I was as excited as you, to see you get cozy for the night. Candlelight. Have a couple good meals. Play in the garden. The sunset. Your new baskets, shelf and doors look adorable. I'd omit the yellow stripe in the front door and make that stripe white, like your back door. And when are people going to realize NOBODY wants to hear LOUD music, especially loud bass beats.

Fond memories! When I 1st came to Florida 22 yrs ago, I rented a tiny adorable refurbished cottage on Lake Tarpon in Tarpon Springs very similar but it had a tiny bathroom. As soon as I drove over a brick road hill and entered the peaceful little cottage community I immediately started to relax. Love everything you're doing to fix yours up!
Elsie,its looking better& better at your little heaven. You should get a grill& grill outside in summer. So cute...I like the stripes I the doors. I wouldn't overkill on the door trim. Make it light& airy in color.You have alot of natural colors allready. Maybe lilacs,& ferns& dasies..
Ohh sleepover in the cottage 😍 Me and my mom sleeped in an old house on the country side the other weekend and it was so quiet and calm. So relaxing.
So loving Your garden and how much things grow ,maybe add some sort of Mulch around the plants to keep the water in and weeds out. You can even spread some of Your grass clippings around them (not too close or deep so things rot ) do You have a small spot for a compost pile in the corner ??...how exciting to stay the night x MMM dinner looked so delicious ! I loved those sweet little wooden Plant Markers and would love some for my little garden too! The Cane baskets might work better on the wall to left of back door where they would be more protected from rain , can not wait for the painted flowers to be added ...going to be perfect x

Your cottage is looking so cozy and your garden seems to be thriving. A suggestion for watering, water the soil, rather than the plant. The moisture needs to get to the roots, not the leaves. You risk getting molds and fungus on your plants by watering the leaves.
