      epic gamer being tied to the regime with no free thoughts is better then? Unfortunately it is human nature that drives consumerism and capital nature as we crave material goods. Having this free discipline is better than working for a mixed economy where state pays no attention to individuals. It would be ludicrous to suggest in life or in any political system there would be no restrictions to an individual. Democracy and capitalism isn’t perfect but it’s better than the alternative.

    You can't eat money and you can't run you car or generate electricity with it. Money is only a marker, a contract for real, tangible resources (energy being the primary one, followed by water and arable land, etc.). Printing more money or having access to money only affects the distribution of wealth, it does not represent a substitute for real wealth. Given that our current economic paradigm is predicated on constant exponential growth and that it is damaging, even destroying the real, physical biosphere upon which everyone and every living creature depends for their survival and prosperity, it is axiomatic that this economic approach is not sustainable and will not be viable in the not too distant future. Mayerson's thesis is based on science, on hard facts, on the reality of Population Overshoot beyond long term Carrying Capacity by way of a finite endowment of fossil fuels having served to increase carrying capacity temporarily. The energy and other resource surpluses upon which Neo Classical economics and capitalism in it's current form are based, is currently in stasis. Fossil fuel production is on a bumpy plateau, soon to decline globally, and no monetary system or monetary policy tweaking will solve or even begin to address that problem. Mitigating declining resource quality and scarcity, along with global warming, will require a new adaptive approach, and one that is not dependent on the assumption of an infinite carrying capacity.

    no climate has changed since the first country was formed on earth. tghere are numerous climates, desert, tropical rain forests, savannah land and temperate climates. we have never seen one climate change into another yet so many are lying to the kids that carbon dioxide is causing climate change. i challenge them to set up 10 transparent chambers, each with a thermocouple hooked up to data logging, equidistant from a heat source, one chanber caontaining 0.01% carbon dioxide, other 0.02%, 0.03%, 0.04%, 0.05%, 0.06%, 0.07%, 0.08%, 0.09 and 0.10% carbon dioxide.keeping all other factors contant, record the temperature every second for 24 hours and see if you will find a corelation between carbon dioxide concentration and temperature change. specific heat capacity of water is 4200j and that of carbon dioxide is only 40 so why are you not attacking water and blame carbon dioxide. please stop the lies.
    the energy absorbed by the atmosphere = mass of the atmosphere x the specific heat capacity of the atmosphere x temarature rise of the atmospherre.
    the atmosphere only contains 0.04% carbon dioxide so whyt are you wrongly accusing carbon dioxide? disgracefull!

      Climate change => downplayed by the right for no other reason than that people on the left started talking about it.
      Overpopulation => considered taboo by the left because the blame can't be put on the West and 3rd world countries are allways intrinsically good
      Spread of Islam => 3double taboo but a problem nonetheless. War, civil war and destruction of Western culture will certainly follow.

      Ever wondered why population growth started post world war 2 when on the other side of the world literacy rate plummeted to 13 % due to colonialism. Ever wondered if population growth could also be a causal effect of the system ?. if 3rd world countries were really ancient - then calculate the population growth pre industrialization for the past 2000 years and post industrialization for the past 200 or so years .. and if you don’t have data points then you have no reason to argue that population growth was not a by product of this capitalistic or colonialistic system

    • @shkh569
      @shkh569 Před 2 lety

      Why are third world countries good at population growth you ask ?. Culture formed as a results of years of evolution is what balances individual freedom. Explains why China was able to get to such a high growth level in a short amount of time. “Third world” ancient societies knew early on that they will need to survive with nature (sustainable growth) not against it. If only non-westerners were looked at as the source of wisdom instead of source of loot world would have been in balance long time back .. and now those responsible will see to it that their climate change reversal systems will extract all the benefits they need .. another colonialistic / capitalistic mindset. Still have not learned.

    It's obvious that things have got to change. But you must have growth while the worlds population grows. but equally you can't have unlimited growth in a finite world. So we have to change the finite world. Start off with the moon, and then Mars. By the time we've populated the moo and Mars then we may have the technology to move on to other star systems.

    • @karlwheatley1244
      @karlwheatley1244 Před 4 lety

      The odds we can create and sustain any significant amount of life on the moon or Mars are essentially zero. And the materials used and pollution created by any routine space travel would just kill Earth's ecosystems faster. We only got one livable planet and we have to save its ecosystems or human civilization is toast.

      @@karlwheatley1244 The reason the human race developed is because some people always thought outside the box. Agree that we have to do much better with our planet but we must also travel beyond our planet. To be able to survive and grow then we can't limit ourselves to this earth only.

      @@chrisparsonson420 Thanks for your reply. It's fine to encourage space travel, but if you understand the distances involved and the cold void that most of space is, you realize that if the mass of humanity is to have a future, it will be here on Earth. I'm a huge advocate of and practicer of outside-of-the-box thinking, but the version of that thinking we need now focuses on how we can transform our civilization to survive and thrive here on Earth. Take care.

I just think having people settled on the moon, and even Mars. is a lot easier than transforming our civilisation. One good reason is that there are good commercial reasons for going to these places. When it was just governments doing it maybe your argument would hold water, but not now..I think they'll be terraforming Mars before we get our civilisation under control. Many thanks for your reply
