Meaning, his ENTIRE life revolves around Allah, Islam, Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him), Muslims, etc. There’s a reason WHY they call themselves “ex Muslims” because their life is consumed by Islam through their own FREE WILL. The irony is beyond laughable.

Most of these secular Iranians left for USA/Europe in the 70s. They didnt raise their children as muslims Only thing retained was their Muslim names and Iranian food culture. These "kids" never learnt to pray no fault of their own (parents fault) but they knew they had a "Muslim Background"and then you end up with sad cases like this guy. This wont happen to just Shias also to Sunni members who raise their children like this poor fellows parents did. Hence important to teach Islamic prayers and culture when young.

I noticed the Iranians who grow up in the west are just secular and indifferent towards Islam. The types who came fresh from Iran have a deep grudge! The Mullahs of Iran have turned Shia-born Iranians away from religion. They have become the biggest haters of Islam! Many of them convert to Christianity, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism...etc. If not that then almost always they turn into atheists and Islam haters! No country has created more haters of Islam (what they believed to be Islam) than the "Islamic republic" of Iran. Alhamdulilah some among them give Islam a second chance and they look into Sunni Islam. I heard that every religion and ideology is growing in Iran except Twelver Shism; The religion of the Mullahs/Akhunds. You see the spiritual damage these people have done to the Beautiful country of Iran! I get your point though about raising children appropriately.

@@Ammeo my friend, Islam doesn't allow cruelty to animals at all! Where did you hear this? Don't you know about the story about the woman who tortured a cat and went to hell for it? Or the man who brought a dog some water on a hot day and went to heaven? Don't you know that it's Haram to harm animals without reason?
About destiny. You are not ignorant about Islam, so you have no right to say that you don't know. Didn't you receive a message? Wasn't the message clear? Did you follow it? You will answer no to the last question. If you made a bad choice you have to live with the consequences. I can leave Islam right now if I want to, but I don't. Why? Because I CHOOSE TO BE A MUSLIM. No one forced. I heard the message and I obeyed, I deserve reward for my deeds, just as you deserve whatever Allah chooses for you. You weren't ignorant when you left Islam, but if you were, you aren't any more. So I ask you again: did the message reach you? Was it clear? Did you follow it?
Remember, it's never Haram to ask a question. Some prophets even asked to see Allah in his form. He did not get angry at them, because they were ignorant. If you have a question, then ask.

A teacher can estimate (know) which of his students will pass the final examination, from knowing each student's ability during the course of the years. If a student fails it's due to that student's own lack of study, effort etc. The student had free will, to either put in the effort (study, homework etc.) or not. Just because the teacher KNEW that student would fail doesn't mean that he (teacher) was responsible for the failure. Likewise, the Almighty KNOWS who is destined for heaven/hell because He is All-Knowing but that doesn't mean He is responsible.
Human beings have free will and they will be responsible (rewarded or punished) for the choices they made.

@@Ammeo First off, you leaving Islam because of how halal meat is made does not prove Islam is false. It's a fallacious emotional argument. You can't prove it's objectively wrong to have halal meat. Morality is never objective. It can only be subjective or arbitrary depending on an individual's goals. You not agreeing with Islamic morality doesn't therefore mean its false.
I'm not going to converse with you on free will vs predestination as it is sinful to do so. You're strawmanning Islamic theology by claiming Allah(SWT) can't change a person's destiny. Allah(SWT) does not depend on anything. In philosophical terms, He's necessary, not contingent.
On the flip side, I have evidence that Islam is true, I can provide my argument if you want. I've challenged other atheists and Christians to refute it, nobody has though yet. Btw this is coming from a former atheist who became a Muslim in 2020.

Even with Hamzas' example about seeing in to the future, if you can see my future, what control do you really have? It would be like pressing play on a DVD. I personally think that there is no certain future, just a series of choices and potential outcomes. I believe Allah knows all of them, but they are not set in stone. We are in control and have the ability to make better choices and keep on improving, Allah has blessed us with free will.
