  • The Galapagos in Ecuador is one big animal paradise. Nowhere in the world you can see wild animals so easily in their natural environment. In an earlier episode you could already see that we landed on Santa Cruz, the most central island. Now we sail to Isla Isabela, for a snorkeling tour at Los Túneles, a famous dive site full of wildlife. We see sharks, rays, penguins, blue-footed boobies, turtles and much more. We also walk along lagoons with flamingos and we explore the island. At Concha de Perla we even snorkel with playful sea lions!
    This year we travel all over the world and after Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, The Bahamas, USA and Mexico, Galapagos is already our twelfth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in Ecuador, then Brazil and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross to Asia, Oceania and Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or www.woutoftheworld.nl

    Damn that kid was so close to the edge! I would never allow this, or if happened would jump first to save .

    • @WoutoftheWorld
      @WoutoftheWorld  Před rokem +1

      Haha I have no idea what edge 😅, but I can assure you it wasn’t dangerous. Also, if you travel for years with a kid, you need to teach him what’s dangerous and what not. Let him try things and be on guard instead of keeping him away from everything. Jens has been in 60 countries, speaks several languages a bit, climbed mountains and he can swim 😜👌🏻 that’s a result of his own experiences!

    Hey Wout, mooi om al uw avonturen te zien! Binnen 3 maanden gaan wij ook de Galapagos bezoeken. Uit uw video's kan ik zien dat jullie gekozen hebben voor eilandhoppen in plaats van een cruise te boeken. Wat is hiervoor de reden geweest? In ieder geval, wij twijfelen tussen beide daarom de vraag via hier 🙂

    • @WoutoftheWorld
      @WoutoftheWorld  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! Goede vraag. Wij reizen natuurlijk voor onbepaalde tijd en een cruise is heel duur. Zelf rondreizen is prima te doen en veel goedkoper. Bovendien zie je alle dieren die er te zien zijn tijdens onze route en ik heb zelf veel mensen gesproken die de meerwaarde van een cruise niet echt bevestigd zagen.. maar goed dat is voor iedereen anders natuurlijk 😉👍🏻

    I am sailing to Galapagos next month on a private sailboat. I want to capture the beauty. I wonder what equipment you used to film both above and below the water. Thank you. Billy

    • @WoutoftheWorld
      @WoutoftheWorld  Před rokem

      Hi William, you’d have to decide what to spend. I guess a SLR or mirrorless camera with a good zoomlens is important if you want to catch wildlife. Under water a GoPro will do fine! Have you checked out our other videos? We have a new one every weekend 😃👌🏻 cheers and good luck!

      @@WoutoftheWorld Thank you. I have just ordered a GoPro with some accessories. The larger cameras would also challenge me for control with my limited snorkeling experience.

    if you are lucky enough to get to then galapagos and are on the island of Isabela, be sure to enjoy a fine salad or sandwich at Pan & Vin. and for dinner, a great sushi restaurant names Sakae Sushi Bar. sakae sushi bar has some of the best food on any of the galapagos islands. I sure wish Sakae was here in Cuenca, Ecuador!
