In this video we take the day off of snowboarding and explore Innsbruck, Austria and get an injury update from TJ. Innsbruck is about a half hour drive from the Stubai glacier and is home to many snowboard stores including a new Burton store. We also check out the Blue Tomato store and More Boards. On these snowboard trips it can be good to take some time off and explore local town and cities and take in the culture. I also manage to find some really good vegan places to eat. I almost completely separated my shoulder on my last run this spring, that shit sucked! I chipped my clavicula as well but after a month it didn't hurt that much anymore. Get moving as quickly as you can! Just activating and strengthening the rotator cuff muscles is a huge help with pain and stiffness. Get well soon! 😊

TJ, I saw you checking out the Skeleton Key I asked about on the live chat yesterday :). Seems like a nice all around resort board, similar shape to a Deep Thinker with a bit softer flex, slightly more taper and slightly narrower in the longer lengths. Should be a great powder, trees and jump board I think, I haven't had a chance to demo one yet though. I was going back and forth between the Flight Attendant, Deep Thinker and Skeleton Key, but I think the SK is the right mix for what I am looking for. Hope to run in to you guys if you make it out to Mt. Bachelor again this year. Best of luck on the shoulder recovery.

AC joint no big deal! It makes it likely to happen more than once though! I would recommend training the muscles around that joint so that it’s not a recurring injury. But you should be fine in a month or two.

I got an AC joint rupture and sprain of the muscles from shoulder and back this season in New Zealand and it sucks so bad haha never experienced such an strong pain before . Luckily for me it happened 3 wks before they closed the mountain so I didnt miss much , but still painful af is quite a bitchy lesion to deal with .

Ac separation sucks, luckily yours is minor and will heal up naturally. I had to get surgery and the doctor put 4 clavicle cadavers in my shoulder when I hurt mine. Stay healthy TJ, don’t tweak it all or it will take forever to heal.

Hi Calvin and TJ, I had similar shoulder injury earlier this year. No broken bone but minor dislocation of joint. It did not fully recover for months. I mean my shoulder was able to manage every task in daily life but i felt pain when I played sports particularly when I bended my arm to certain angle. A few weeks ago I went to a clinic a Beijing. The doctor there examined my shoulder a bit and then helped me to fix the dislocation. It was once and for all. Within a few days, my shoulder is fully recovered. Please let me know if you want to try that in Beijing. I will let you know the detail. You may check out the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic venue too. It started snowing in that region a few days ago.
Yeah I dislocated my should 2 times within 2 weeks of eachother olaying football and doc tells me it will never be the same
