I very very rarely comment on CZcams but this is great! Not just the bike, but the fact you went into your shed and made something because you felt like it!
that sums it up brilliantly. Cheers mate
Finally an aussie wood worker on youtube cheers mate great project
Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.
not even 5 mins into the video and im subscribed. Great voice, great skills, no madly priced tools or materials like most other youtube woodworkers. Keep it up!
Thank you very much, glad you liked it and thanks for the sub!
Legend. Hope to make one of these for my grand father and great grand fathers medals one day. Appreciate it.
I think your referring to the medals case. its definitely a must do project for anyone that has medals i reckon.
That is absolutely one cool project. I know it's Aussie, but that is definitely a California beach cruiser. Great work and great artistry in how you laid the bike out.
Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.
CZcams recommendations came through with this one. Congratulations sir, that's a masterpiece.

Absolutely Noah. Thanks for watching mate
I’m freakin in love with this bike. And I’m glad I found your channel brother!! Going to follow each build from now on. Amazing !!!!
Thank you Komar and welcome
Dude, amazing. You have some imagination to be able to see this project in your head, get it to paper then to real life. Excellent craftsman. I wish I was your neighbor.
Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.
Holy moly man. It's so cool. I've always liked wooden bikes. Never really thought about making them with ply, but it's a great idea. 👍🚲
Thanks mate. I've thought about and wanted to make a wooden bike for a few years now
@@DownUnderWoodWorks The advantage of thinking about it for a few years is that it gives you the time to think through the process and some of the design challenges.
Who cares if it's not "practical" enough for everyday use; it's more than awesome enough to be an everyday conversation piece! A beautiful work of love and of art.
100% correct. thank you very much
Genius Vic! That's one beautiful creation.. Respect!
Thank you very much!
Felicitaciones, muy buen proyecto. Saludos desde Venezuela
gracias me alegra que te guste raul
Izzy Swan now has some competition, that was brilliant looks great well done.👍🥃🏴
True, i was thinking of Izzy during this build. it would be awesome if he sees the video.
@@DownUnderWoodWorks Send him an e-mail with a link to your video. He will probably love to see the build and the bike.
You even said it yourself at the beginning of the video, this is nothing short of mind blowing!
Awesome job and thanks so much for sharing the experience.
Thanks very much Pete, glad you liked it.
The process and the end product brought a smile to my face. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.

Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.
Effing brilliant! I'm going to build one of these and call it the "Down Under" as tribute.
Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.
Who would have thought that a plywood chopper bike would be such a popular video? It's going nuts. You gained a Aussie subscriber here.
I'm a bit surprised myself mate. Welcome Mark.
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! A friend just gave me an old beach cruiser frame to play with and this is so inspiring. Great work, it turned out amazing!
Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.

This is too fucking cool man. Great job. Wouldn't mind having one of these myself.
Thank you very much for your comment. Apologies for the late reply but I'm trying to clear my "Comments I haven't responded to" list.
That's the perfect project Vic! One that you get so much joy and satisfaction from. I got heaps out of this great video. I've wanted to build a wood bike for a while myself Thank you Vic and all the best.
I agree mate. it was just a joy to see it evolve. I've had a lot of comments from people saying they've wanted to build a wooden bike. Maybe i've started something.
That bicycle is completely impractical and sick AF. Congratulations and thank you for sharing!
As a bonus you demonstrate the methodology (use of jigs, measurement and tool trickery), which is pure gold for anyone wishing to up their fabrication game.
Haha, love your definition of the bike. Thanks very much Dylan
You utter, utter dork! I love it, well done.
Lmao. thanks heaps Jim
"Honey, where's that loud music coming from?"
"That's the neighbor. He's riding his badass bike again."
And he don’t have any music lol
@@hawk7825 woooosh
909sickle I think the bike makes its own music.
Frozen music, that’s what it is
Bike Parade, South Park.
Thanks for sharing, that was a cool project and I love how you incorporated wood and metal together.
Thank you very much
Awesome job. I find myself doing off the wall stuff more than anything practical. Years ago, I took the inner workings of a 20" box fan and placed them in a wooden frame I had made. I no longer have that fan but it looked fantastic. You have inspired me to make a new one! keep having all the fun you can have, that is what hobbies are for.
Very true Joel, you keep having fun as well mate.
this is the best use of a Walmart bike I've seen yet!
One minor problem dude is that we don't have Walmart downunder.

Good to hear Peter. Thanks mate.
Awesome wood bike build , do you have some plans that you are willing to share or even offer for purchase???
I may have to look into it
I'd love to do some of my wood-burning pyrography on that thing. It definitely needs some skulls and roses tattooed on it. Nice work.
Justin Gaulin just roses on fire will do
Like one the outside
Jk but that would look like a pettle harley
Skulls and Roses lmfao

Thanks very much Tony
That noise when they drill in your teeth at the dentist 😡good job on the project
.
Love your vid mate. Bloody brilliant design. A true work of art. I've been looking at thousands of cruiser bikes lately as i been thinking of building one and your design just has such a beautiful balance to it. I'm a kiwi living in the States and isn't it typical how a Californian ( guy in the coment section ) is trying to take credit for something they had nothing to do with by saying it's a true Californian cruiser. To me it's true Ausi ingenuity. Thanks for sharing and would love to own one.
Maaka Tipa Thanks very much bro 👍🏻
Awesome build. You are a true craftsman!
Thank you very much Robert, you are too kind.
Love the shape of the bike, really super cool. Really inspiring.

You are an artist, engineer, builder and an entertainer all in one! Great video. That is the coolest looking bike ever. It is no wonder it brings a smile to your face!
Thanks for the very kind words Mark, they made me smile too.
Thank you for this video. It inspired me to start building my own wooden chopper bike. I saw chopper bicycles before and really wanted to build one but i'm not a welder. This introduced me to the idea that a wooden bicycle is possible.

Dayumn!! This is one of the best projects ever and a really impressive result!
Thank you very much
@@DownUnderWoodWorks You could put your logo on it somewhere (the head tube?) and/or a name eg BWC (Badass Wooden Chopper!). Maybe fit one of those old school saddles with springs? Could paint a white band around the frame on or next to the black metal donor part at the front to get a black&white effect matching the wheels? Maybe a bash-guard/skid plate for the leading wooden edge beneath the crank spindle? It really is an inspiring project.
Nice Job , like your style. Hope to see more IDEAS , Valparaiso , Indiana 😎👍👌
Thanks very much Barry

I'm a designer, and I loved the way you designed it on the fly with curves and cardboard templates, except there was purpose behind each design. That's so inspiring, I learned so much. The video was put together really well too. Now I bloody need a router and table saw. Great job mate.
Thank you very much Regan, I'm glad you got so much out of it.
