Mother Nature brings joy for shell lovers

A large deposit of shells washed on shore along the beach at North Jetty Park in Nokomis, Florida. Shell lovers were out sifting through them looking for the perfect shell on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

So this beach was previously known to have few shells? Are we sure this isn’t a catastrophic die off?

I was looking at the shell quality and there are many old weathered shells. My guess is that a current or weather condition pushed off-shore shells on-shore 🙂
