How to Make Fire Drum Sounds From Scratch In FL Studio! Sound Design Tutorial!
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 29. 03. 2020
- In this video, I talk about the basics of sound design and how to make drums sounds from scratch in FL Studio. I use a lot of third party synths and plugins so this can be done in other DAWS. We go over how to make 5 basic sounds; 808s, kick, claps, hats, and snares for hip-hop/trap music. Let me know if you want to see a more advanced tutorial in the future!

This is it! I searched trough many channels, but this one is really got me. Thank's mate, your musical wisdom is enlighten me. Bless you mate.
Dude, this inspired me to start working on my own drum kit, and I also started on a synth pack as well! These are the kind of videos I look out for, so I can work on making my own beats better, while still enjoying the content from one of my favorite beat making youtubers. Keep up the works, and please keep making videos like these :)
WoooooW! It's sooo cool Simon!
We wanna more videos about sound design!
Please do more Sound Design videos! That was dope! Thanks
Gonna have this on repeat please keep these tutorials coming!! Stay safe producing Fam!!
Watching in bed on phone:
You playing the 808 at all? đ
This channel has inspired me so much, i love your content man! I started making my own beats and got confident enough to share them because of you!
for real, thank you for the 808 explanation. I'm spending years looking for tutorials that explains things in short and direct ways
Yessss finally!! Pls more sound design videos this is what i need

Just in time, I was just searching for this, thanks! đ
Just what I needed to see to get motivated and inspired to get off my ass & take on a new task of attempting sound design and just creating something cause I've been in a rut this past week & unmotivated. Great video and yes I would love to see more in depth tutorials and vids on sound design
iâve been waiting for this. iâm actually so happy
Iâve been waiting for this for soooo long đđ»đđ»đđ»
thank you so much for this tutorial bro, iâd been needing a sound design tutorial like this. please do more mane, blessings to you!
Thanks for this one man...really loved this tutorial!!
Love this kind of tutorial simon make more please!!
bro I've watched like a 1000 of these types of vids (for Ableton too) & you've got the best sounds BY FAR, thx for making this super easy to understand đč
Great tutorial as always. I don't know why I hadn't thought too much about what a kick, clap, hi-hat, snare etc are in terms of the sound itself and how they can be created given all of the things I've tried to learn about. I'm sure I have explored how they look on a spectrogram etc, but for some reason I haven't explored too much in terms of how they can be created from scratch, so this was a great idea for a video which will make me research and learn even more about this topic, so I thank you not only for the video, but also for the sort of "aha" moment in terms of me realizing and wanting to learn even more about sound and sound design. Great work Simon :)
I'm really glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic video Simon!!
I hope you are going to make more sound design videos in the future, theyâre sooo good! đ„đ„
Been waiting for this one ever since u mentioned it!
Please make more of these my dude. You're amazing, thank you
That was extremely helpful. Can't wait for capital drum kit 3 love the first 2
Thatâs it. Iâm getting serum. Gotta try out some of these tricks. Thank you as always Simon â„ïžâ„ïž
Ayyy nice
That legend piano is back !!!!!
Fire like always!
Definitely the best drums sound design video I've seen. Many of the others just show blending other peoples' samples to make your own samples and don't even remotely explain how to do any of this. Good shit man!
I'm new to the channel and I have learned a lot already from watching your videos. Thank you so much Simon!
Dope to see your workflow!
Super cool knowledge!!! Thanks!!
Been on this lately! Love the tutorial simon great job!
Please more like this. I love the idea of sound design and I learned so much from this

I needed this man thank you
Please do more sound design stuff! I've been waiting for this sooo long
Alto video perro! Hace banda que queria saber mas sobre esto. Y no encontraba un buen tutorial! Gracias!
More sound designs please! Itâs super helpful
I thought most producers just take drum shots that already exist and reconstruct them, but Simon proved me now that sound design to create sounds from scratch isn't really that hard as I thought. Awesome tutorial as always, thanks Sensei Servida đđŒđ„
Thank you bro! I needed this so badly
Very nice and interesting video i respect that!
Really helpful man, thanks đ
I had to sub bro you're mad thorough, I appreciate this man. Peace!
Thanks for listening to me Servida! I really wanted this video for a long time!
I just donât really know how to use the tutorial because I donât have serum, but I still love the tutorial
Yeees please, more sound design and also mixing đ
You're such an inspiration to me dude I hope I improve my producing skills to your level one day đđŒđđ»
Omg I love you for this explanatory vid
YES! I need this thank you
Had to pause the video to like and sub because the way he explained the characteristics of a kick with his voice is the best thing ever and it just clicked for me after years of watching tutorials lol Also shoutout to DJ Pain for bringing me here.
This is the sauce we need my boy!
Damn, think by far this was the most down to sound design lesson I've witnessed everything was a lot simpler versus most producers anad engineers being way too "techy" causing so much confusion for most people including myself I enjoy designing my own sounds but of course I didn't really know the bare fundamentals i would just mess with stuff until I got what I was looking for 7 hours later.... and thats just one sound done...lmao smdh.... anyways dope video again Simon, also congrats on the studio addition to your journey looking forward to more vids brother.
Nice definitely would be down for more of these kind of videos
More sound design! That was dope!
Sup man, i'm 3 days new to your channel. Watching everyday. Learned alot from you in 3 days already. Love the content! đ„đŻ
Any sound design and/or vocal mixing tutorials would FAB. Thank you for the endless quality content!
Respect. Ive been recording sounds, layering and using extensive mixing racks by my own design for way too long lol. Another way to design sound gives even more possibilities. Keep up the great content man!
