Thank you. I suppose this was a divine appointment. I've been sick all week and REALLY down in the dumps. What I came upon were several Vlogs today with similar content. I found myself asking God if he'd given up on me. To where my husband said, "just look at how he's been there to get us through the hard times. How about all the joyful moments?! So as I sit here waiting on God, I also need to stop selling myself short. I've been living on fear instead of in confidence in Jesus who went through the desert. He's been there! He can handle it all. So thank you for being obedient to God today. I know you helped someone in utter tears the past week for so much going on at once. My body and mind have been weary. God is good though.

When my daddy planted some plum, pecan & other fruit trees in 1959 or 1960, he bought Stark Bros trees. Turns out that my grandfather worked for Stark Bros. back in the early 1900s, so they're very special to me! :D

Wow this almost made me cry, I've been having a tough time over the last few years. Dealing with things and just keeping my life afloat was hard enough. What you said actually made me realise it is time to move on now, time to set new goals for my life and find out where I have been all these years. I need to get back into touch with myself and ask myself what I want to accomplish. And I need to stop pushing things forward and stop being so scared. These are great reminders of why we do what we do. Our eldest daughter recently found germinating seeds in her "pink lady" apple and asked to plant them. She has 7 little seedlings sprouting in an egg carton. Thank you for taking the time to encourage us!

I love, Love, LOVE these types of discussions: philosophy and even metaphysics. For me, they are like strategy sessions for our lives. I am very detail oriented, but ya gotta have a big picture to be able to get things done and grow into your full potential. In a pinch, you can make H-posts & corners with t-posts with some additional hardware. Ask at the place that sells the t-posts. Keep planting apple seeds! At worst, you get cider apples that can be turned into apple cider vinegar if not cider or juice; at best you get the next Orange Pippin. :) Your goats and poultry love apples that most of us can't eat; pigs, too. IDK about cows, though. You could plant seedlings all over your hills for shade and apples. The wildlife would love it - if you can keep the deer from eating them as seedlings and young trees. The power of abundant thinking!

It has left me w an inability to try to pick up the pieces and start my life over as a single lady at 40. Now 46. You hv given me some encouragement. Thank you. I enjoy your inspiration, Art. Good apples... When you started talking about your faith, I was bracing myself for hearing the often spoken religious belief that the only way to "heaven" or "righteous" living is through asking for salvation through Jesus Christ... You did not say that. ... and I appreciate it. Some Christians will have fortified their faith to find a fine human like yourself, Arthur, openly acknowledging your faith... Christians on the right... everyone else... hmmm... you get the idea... I have Christian family members who believe, and have said to me, that I will "perish" (or whatever) bc I no longer have a need to follow Christian dogma and that especially since I did not have my child baptized.... "well", they say, "You shall certainly suffer greatly..." (would this be "selling me short"?) Their beliefs have stood in the way of any possible sincere inquiry and appreciation for inspiration that is not exclusively through Jesus Christ. They see my failure. Perhaps they even hope for my failure as a way to prove how "Rightwise" they are. I don't know since our relationships have changed to where we no longer have truly kind, open, and honest conversation. I sense their fear for me. This repels me. The Christians in my family who criticize me, and fear for me and my daughter have had extreme distress when some of their own children entered into an emancipation process that left Christianity behind.... Family relationships changed. Sadly, some relationships ended. In my experience religious and political dogmas divide rather than connect people. As time has passed, I've allowed my beliefs to change and evolve and dissolve naturally... sometimes this has been through deep emotional suffering and internal inquiry... but wow... these are becoming good apples!! I'm growing TOWARD my Creator rather than away from my Creator. My unique inner "apple tree" bears nutritious and delicious fruit (these apples are storing well, too!) I no longer need to believe that all humans have true everlasting Peace inside their hearts... I know it. My job now is to nourish MY tree... and (for me) Religion naturally fell away like fall leaves. Those leaves had their place in my life. No regrets. Religion was a part of my continuing process, but it no longer makes sense for me. Dear Art - It seems you understand the natural and beautiful uniqueness of each human being... and hopefully this allows you to see the Possibility for Peace is within each and every one of usl...... even if it's not through Jesus Christ. You are a gifted teacher. Thank you.

I have been so inspired as I have been catching up with your Vlog... I started at the first video and I am marathoning all of your vlogs up to the present day. And what you said in this video was truly wonderful regardless of the viewers faith or beliefs. I have enjoyed every video and been honored to share in these little glimpses into your family and life. I truly hope you keep doing this and I would really love to see more about Bri's home schooling and how you guys are growing in that aspect as well as growing in your homesteading life also.

When you started talking about your faith, I was bracing myself for hearing the often spoken religious belief that the only way to "heaven" or "righteous" living is through asking for salvation through Jesus Christ... You did not say that. ... and I appreciate it.
Some Christians will have fortified their faith to find a fine human like yourself, Arthur, openly acknowledging your faith... Christians on the right... everyone else... hmmm... you get the idea...
I have Christian family members who believe, and have said to me, that I will "perish" (or whatever) bc I no longer have a need to follow Christian dogma and that especially since I did not have my child baptized.... "well", they say, "You shall certainly suffer greatly..." (would this be "selling me short"?)
Their beliefs have stood in the way of any possible sincere inquiry and appreciation for inspiration that is not exclusively through Jesus Christ. They see my failure. Perhaps they even hope for my failure as a way to prove how "Rightwise" they are. I don't know since our relationships have changed to where we no longer have truly kind, open, and honest conversation. I sense their fear for me. This repels me.
The Christians in my family who criticize me, and fear for me and my daughter have had extreme distress when some of their own children entered into an emancipation process that left Christianity behind.... Family relationships changed. Sadly, some relationships ended. In my experience religious and political dogmas divide rather than connect people.
As time has passed, I've allowed my beliefs to change and evolve and dissolve naturally... sometimes this has been through deep emotional suffering and internal inquiry... but wow... these are becoming good apples!! I'm growing TOWARD my Creator rather than away from my Creator. My unique inner "apple tree" bears nutritious and delicious fruit (these apples are storing well, too!)
I no longer need to believe that all humans have true everlasting Peace inside their hearts...
I know it.
My job now is to nourish MY tree... and (for me) Religion naturally fell away like fall leaves. Those leaves had their place in my life. No regrets. Religion was a part of my continuing process, but it no longer makes sense for me.
Dear Art - It seems you understand the natural and beautiful uniqueness of each human being... and hopefully this allows you to see the Possibility for Peace is within each and every one of usl...... even if it's not through Jesus Christ. You are a gifted teacher. Thank you.
