    Dear Amy, I am happy for you to have completed this part of the journey. Trooper you ❤🙏!
    As a cancer survivor who suffered a different cancer and had different Chemodrugs, I totally get your diminished excitement. I was like that! But let me tell you..each week out of your last Chemo, you will really feel better, wait and see, only tiny changes at first but you WILL then make bigger and more noticable recovery steps. Reward yourself and dig in the minute that salty taste goes away!
    As a medical professional my advise: if ANYONE, nurse or doctor, try to access your port with a butterfly you tell them you refuse unless a proper needle made to access ports is brought from who cares where. Not only is it as you described uncomfortable (really painful) to be "stabbed" with that *but* I have seen Ports destroyed by using those butterfly needles! They need to get decent supply!
    Praying for you, your little ones are very adorable, stay on top of the world, get lot's of rest, let me know how things change, getting better,....much love & prayers 🙏🥀🌻🦋

    Amy, I want to let you know that you are a Remarkable person! 🏞 Your journey is your own! No one can truly experience what you have been through. We are all different, and we cannot just say, "Oh, this feels like this". It really doesn't work that way at all! I know what you have been through is really tough. You deserve the best in life, Amy. I really truly mean this, because you are doing your best, as we all do in our own way. Please treat yourself to something AwEsome!!! Okay!
    Have the best upcoming weekend!! I am sending my good vibes, and more to you, and your family!!!

    Amy I am glad for you that our Chemo is done. They always use the butterfly needle on me for every treatment. I use Lidocaine cream to numb it. some times it works well and some times not at all I think it depends on the angle they go in and thickness of the needle.. Hope all goes well for your surgery. Have a great Thanksgiving.

    • @lesimpleholic
      @lesimpleholic  Před 2 lety +1

      I've had the butterfly needle a couple times before that last chemo... maybe it was the nurse I had? I also use Lidocaine cream to numb the area before, but this time around, the nurse had to really push on my skin/port so it didn't help. I prefer the straight needle! Wishing you a great thanksgiving as well!

      @@lesimpleholic I'm glad that you are recovering from surgery! Your videos have been so helpful to me as I embark on this journey. My first chemo infusion went well. Yesterday (Day 3) was a little rough. I was slept pretty much the entire day and night off and on. And, I had some neck and back pain that I assume was caused by the Neulasta. Today, I am feeling much better. Phew for that! You're such an inspiration. Thank you for posting throughout your process!
