fascinating! I am an undergrad computer science major, but I have always had a thing for neuroscience. It made me ecstatic to find out that there is a way to bridge the gap between the two.

Good talk.....I've been saying this for 30 years....My own little research endeavor is aptly called 'Biobotics R&D'. If you want detailed info on this type of research, you should check out Jeff Hawkins and the people at Numenta, the company he runs. They are truly cutting edge.

Forward Robotics specifically designed its plane-like drone design - called the U7AG - to be price competitive with larger pull-behind sprayer units (around $50,000 Cdn). - Photo: Forward Robotics
    Designs variable and numerous
Of course, efforts are being made to eliminate this problem through improved designs. Meng Wei, chief executive officer for the aforementioned Forward Robotics Inc., says the U7AG incorporates larger droplets (medium and coarse) and a fixed-wing schematic to reduce drift issues.
“Fixed wing aircraft have different air fluid patters,” he says. “[It’s] more like a traditional aircraft, thus fitting with traditional aircraft spray regulations.”

Science fiction doesn't "promise" us anything but a ripping good yarn. The technology in a science fiction story is just as advanced as it needs to be to make the points about human nature that the writer wanted to make.

I know you responded two years ago, but I'm sorry, I'm jus seeing this video now. The world we are living in is turning science fiction to reality. It seems its fulfilling the promise of science fiction, written with not the slightest intent of becoming real. But it's getting real now.
