FILM DESCRIPTION:
A young woman spends her days renovating the Victorian mansion that she lives in with her husband in the countryside. When a stranger knocks on the door one night, he becomes an unexpected guest in their home. Later, his wife and two children also arrive to make themselves welcome. Terror soon strikes when the beleaguered wife tries to figure out why her husband is so seemingly friendly and accommodating to everyone but her.

Here's the problem. The movie itself was advertised as a horror thriller movie, not some arthouse movie with biblical allegories. A lot of people were fooled and mislead by the trailers causing the hate for the movie.

Husband is GOD, wife is MOTHER NATURE, those crazy people.. the CHAOS is MAN (Who he made, some were bad, but he vouldnt help but love them anyways abd welcome them in) and the baby is JESUS.
The first man we see is adam, his wife (michelle pfeifer) is eve.. they have 2 sons.. one kills the other.. cain and abel.. jts the story of god loving man so much even at the risk of MAN destroying mother nature/earth abd his own FAMILY.. then he starts over again.. a new cycle.. consistantly trying to make his creation go right.

I dont quite understand about this movie. As confuse as Jennifer Lawrence, i watch til the end. I know her husband some sort of evil but people worship him. Then seeing the war with humankind made it interesting, chaotic. People were all waiting for her baby to be born and they ate the baby! Great effects but abit weird😂👍
The movie is meant to be the story of the world with biblical themes to it. Him is God. Mother is Mother Nature and all the people are the people of the world. In the beginning we saw Man (represented as Adam) and Woman (represented as Eve) and the two brothers being Abel and Cain. We see humanity as it destroys the the house (Earth) and how religion is taken differently among different people. And the cycle of life, death and rebirth
