Yes! I melt the butter with garlic, salt and milk while the potatoes are draining, then just mash it all together.

Why not use russet potatoes instead of Yukon? And you're basically making garlic mash potatoes. And like the people we feed at the mission say, if your mashed potatoes don't have lumps then it's not real.
