Does Black Lives Matter UK have an agenda beyond racial equality?

  • Columnist Matthew Syed was worried when he saw the Black Lives Matter UK website: "It talked about such things as dismantling capitalism. That sounded to me like an agenda that goes far beyond the idea of racial equality".
Discussing censorship with Mike Graham, Syed added "when you think about somebody denied a promotion because of the colour of their skin... to what extent are their lives materially improved by deleting a scene from Fawlty Towers? If the answer is not at all, then the righteous energy should be directed towards those substantive changes to the law... that can make a difference. Otherwise it just becomes a kind of symbolism".
On the subject of cancel culture, Syed says "the demographic on Twitter is not representative of the wider population... it's like the amygdala, that part of the brain that slightly overreacts to stuff".

A question that is answered simply by going to their website. Dismantle capitalism, the nuclear family and defunding (read disbanding) the police. They are also anti-semitic as evidenced by their recent tweets. Two of the three founders in the US are openly communists. They are using race as a Trojan horse to attack the west. If black lives really mattered they would also be addressing the fact that more black people have been killed by the protests in the states than by the police. More young black men are killed by other young black men in London.
Also in the US every cent donated to their cause via their website goes to adblue a platform to exclusively fund the democrat party, worth also the Republican party was created to stamp out slavery in the US and cost Americans 600,000 lives. It has much more to do with 'Orange Man Bad' than anything else.

Are we expected to believe that no one from the worldwide media, no sports teams, no politicians bothered the read the ‘about us’ section of the BLM website?
You now can’t turn on the tv without seeing adverts for this organisation - run by open Marxists, who openly state they want to destroy capitalism and the nuclear family.
People are being brainwashed to think if you don’t support ALL these things, then you must not value the lives of blck people.
      Look up Motte & Bailey.
The plastering of BLM all over media, sports etc, is to make average Joe think that everyone else supports this organisation, and that you are in a tiny minority of bigots if you don’t.
      It’s a globalist scam.

For the first 10 years of my life I lived in a working class area, then in a more middle class environment. From the age of 12, I was regularly stopped and searched by the police as were most of my friends. I was, for the most part, treated respectfully and was far too frightened to complain and my parents had taught me not to give cheek. I understood why the police selected youths of my age and above, as it was common for teens to hang out in gangs and the police needed to ensure we were not carrying weapons. The fact is that some of my friends did at times carry knives and it was only the fear of being stopped that deterred most of the rest of us (that fear being greater than the fear of being confronted by armed rival gang members). I am a 70 year old white male, I've done reasonably well in life for a lad from a broken home, with no father figure to guide me and I have nothing but respect for our police force. Regardless of background Britain offers all it's citizens a multitude of opportunities to get an education and/or training to become an industrious, respected and valued member of society. Of course some people get it all on a plate, but 99% of us make it on our own. I believe that due to social media young people feel an urgency to have the trappings of wealth now and are not prepared to work long and hard with no guarantee of future success.

However, if we can look through the eyes of someone who has a grievance against something, take a minute and see if they have a valid point. As Ian Wright has said, he didn't want blackboards renaming, he needed laws changing and racism stopped.

Communists have been unable to rile up the working classes around the world, as most working people have seen direct benefit from working within the capitalist system and have already seen the failures of socialism in their lifetime and the damage it caused to their peers in communist countries. So much so actually that people from all continents line up outside our borders to get a taste. The new marxists are focusing on traits like race, gender to rile up support for their movement as they can tap into and take advantage of the supposed oppression in these terms. It’s no surprise that marxists run every single racial or gender related activism around the world and have been using intersectional theory to their benefit. Wake up people!

When askedwhether he knew what "Institutional Racism" is, he would be better off asking her what she meant by it, since it was her point. I have seen several rather different definitions, some of which are so wide as to be meaningless, others very specific and talking about particular METHODOLOGIES or established BEHAVIOURS in the organization as racist. Of course behaviours belong to individuals, so there are difficulties with most definitions.
