Just because of this guy i bought an E60 M54B30, and now once again cuz of badass doctor, I am getting an N54 E92 😏🥰
It’s only $10 for a gasket from BMW here in the U.S. Just retrofitted a GPLUS 25 row oil cooler on my N54 which previously had no oil cooler. Much better temps now 👍 love getting something like this and putting in all fresh gaskets and bolts.

This is a great upgrade I've had mine on my car a few years now 👌 my M135i runs about 18 degrees cooler great bit of kit 👍
I know Mate it’s something I always wanted to do much much better then the original, and doesn’t go through gaskets anymore.
@@BMWDoctor definitely does improve oil cooling as you know when your pushing on they do run very hot 🔥
I know mate I ain't had zero issues and its been fitted for months. As I said when I got the car it was leaking so I quickly replaced it with a BMW one immediately, But then I thought f**k that I will put this on as I'm planning to take this to new levels I want to try get it to 420BHP. Already done a lot more upgrades on this one. LSD is my last :)
@@BMWDoctor you'll get it to 410-420 is no problem but to go further you'll need upgraded hpfp and turbo , I reached the limits on mine then i bit the bullet and did the xdi hpfp and pureturbos stage2 👍 last dyno at whifbits I think it's called they said 438 at the wheels and 640nm working that up it's over 500 and over 700nm 🙈 i just drive it for fun .
The BMW Doc on point as usual. He told me to do this and change the oil to 5w-40 and i no longer have to add any oil when prior to that i was burning a quart a month!!!
What milage are you one mate? I'm 80k running 5w30 and I'm not burning any yet
Hi Dean Great Replacement,Question::: at 910 you replaced this,oil adapter-to-engine gasket with a BMW ,OEM Gasket correct?? well... this location of these 2 gaskets is a "known issue" with BMW for forever... isnt the original Replacement BMW, OEM Gasket still going to leak???. if its not going to leak again in the future, explain to me what BMW has done to "modify" this newer gasket to prevent future issues..... ty NL,Canada

Hi doctor , this oil cooler can be installed like an upgrade on n53 engine , I have an e92 , 325i lci ??
if u open the oil filter cap first, and remove it, itll drain the contents of the oil filter housing oil back into the sump.

Nice one Dean, Following all the upgrades bro and doing them at the same time as my car is not my daily anymore, What oil temp should I be looking at before giving the car hard pulls? I'm using MHD monitoring on my phone and I actually was shocked at how hot the n55 runs lol, I usually do some light pulls at 80 degree oil temps and at 90 I send it... is this hot enough? can I boot it at lower temps? Also will you be fitting a sump baffle plate to yours..
Already in the works Mate, deffinetely fitting it as I believe these engines need it ! Especially when cornering I have seen loads of people trying to hammer it round corners and that’s when it lacks oil pick up and destroys these engines. So it’s something I’m deffinetely gonna do
Mine not a BMW, at 80 degree C coolant temperature my oil pressure at 750rpm idling is about 1.5bar. At 90 degree C at 1bar 😂😂😂
The new gaskets that BMW supply are now made in Japan. They don’t now very often.

Is this just an oil cooler thermostat delete ? as I kinda feel I’m missing the part of it being an upgrade
No this is a performance oil cooler to keep oil temps and coolant temps lower when its highly tuned therefore not to wear the oil filter housing gasket and oil cooler gaskets quickly. As the N55 is prone to oil cooler gasket leaks constantly.
The Mosselman part you installed is the oil cooler thermostat, yes? And, on mosselmanturbo.com I do not see a version for 2011 M135i (USA) E88 (convertible)...?
No problem ! Your engine will be same as M135i it will fit your car. As you have N54 they just list it for newer models but you have EXACT same oil cooler on yours. This will even fit N54 so just buy it and it will work I guarantee 👌

BMW's N55 engine began production in 2009 and started replacing the N54 in 2010. However, most applications built in 2010 still carried the twin turbo N54. The N55 officially replaced the N54 in 2011 (with the exception of the 1M and Z4 35i).Dec 7, 2017
