2 Designers Transform The Same Walmart Lawn Chair | Custom Crafted | Architectural Digest

  • We gave a pair of designers with very different styles one day to completely transform the same folding lawn chair, turning one of the most familiar furniture items in the world into something more personalized and expressive. Furniture designer Alex Hsu operates with a thoughtful, playful and craft-focused philosophy while artist and furniture maker Lauren Verdugo describes her work as sculptural, functional, and sustainable. Which directions will inspiration lead our designers when they turn their eyes towards redesigning a classic outdoor furniture piece?

Finally I think this is a great idea for someone who wants to play around with any medium. All the ergonomics and mechanics are there’s you can design around them.
