Rs 3.5 cr flat wall smashed with a punch - Lodha NCP in Mumbai | Naredco Homethon Property Expo 2023

  • This is a video taken on Krishnaraj Rao's mobile at Lodha New Cuffe Parade by a Mirror Now reporter and videographer yesterday morning. It was filmed at the residence of Shilpi Thard at 31st floor of Dioro Tower. It was intended to be telecast at around 3 pm yesterday. But soon afterwards, the channel decided to postpone the story indefinitely. "We may publish this on Monday evening", they said.
    Later in the afternoon on Friday, our lawyers informed us that Notice of Motion for Rs 100 crore defamation had been filed by Lodha in High Court, and therefore, we may be gagged by the court on Monday.
    So we asked Mirror Now whether they would air this on Saturday or Sunday, so that we would not be in contempt of court orders if such orders came on Monday. But Mumbai Mirror kept avoiding us. They said they would revert to us by 1 pm, and didn't revert.
    Now they said they would not mind us publishing the video, but without the Mirror Now logo. We told them we would try, but only if CZcams editor allowed us to do so. Turns out that this was not possible. So, here is the video in its uncut glory.
    #realestate #construction #viral #viralvideo #LodhaNCP #Lodha #ComeHomeToTheBest
    We can only speculate on the reasons for Mirror Now putting the story on ice. We don't appreciate being used as a bargaining counter.
    Mumbai Mirror said that they were wondering about our dubious motives for being in a hurry to go to town with this video.
    The public is free to speculate on both our motives. You all can judge Lodha Developers, judge Mirror Now, and judge us.
    (And by the way, this video has gone viral, no thanks to Mumbai Mirror!)
    Feel free to respond in the comments.

Fool others by lying about the value part (core issue) but will add lots of soft skills - lemon juice etc. 2. Use social connection, slow legal system whenever and issue comes 3. Since no media will publish, keep repeating the cycle (Your video succesfully stopped this). Hope you get justic + compensation. PMO is really good for these things.

    Would you rather have 4 tons of brick and mortar in the walls of the 50th floor or have lightweight drywall that only acts as separation on the floor and is not made to be structurally sound in the first place. The first option puts immense weight on the foundation and makes it prone to tilting or compressing the soil underneath it even more, potentially making the whole structure cave in and the second option makes the structure lightweight and gives it the ability to withstand the high winds at that height without any catastrophe

    In USA, most of the houses, especially in cold states, are like that. They are called dry walls and they help in insulation during winter to keep the house warm. Sure, in India, as long as they are used for interior thats okay. But as Indian consumers, we have only known bricks and mortar and that may not be always the best choice to construct the house with. You can always remodel and restructure your interior after a few years, or whenever necessary, given that you used dry walls.

      @cadiariverland Před rokem +9

      Exactly 💯... engineers are not stupid.
      They know better when it comes to constructions.
      Don't expect hard bricks for walls, specially for a high rise buildings, it's not only NCP building... do some researches on why the walls are build that way.
      It's best when you do a proper background study first.
      And it's not only about insulation, for a high rise buildings and skyscrapers, building load plays a vital role in construction. We need to consider the load as well or it will fail.

    That is a drywall. Nothing wrong with it. What I think was wrong: builder not making buyer aware of such type of construction. In here (Canada) and all North America for that matter, drywall is a go to material as it is just for separation and doesn’t bear any load. For load, there are studs/lumbers (thick wooden pieces) every few inches. Its easier and quicker to build, does good insulation in winter and most importantly, in my opinion, is very easy to do some DIY or certified modifications quickly such as making another electrical outlet, lighting, running extra electrical conduit etc, or even open up the space if you do not want a wall without compromising the load structure! Hanging heavy stuff isn’t an issue either as you get load rated drywall screws or you find stud ( or in this case metal struts) to screw into for heavier things, for example, 70” TV. The builder must have used it to reduce overall weight stress on the foundation and concrete and missed educating the customers.

      Again, I just corrected the fact that it is not a cardboard it is a Sheetrock, wether use of it in India is good thing or bad thing it is debatable. My intention was not to hurt feelings, just educating on something that is my field of work. Walls that they are sharing with neighboring apartments should be/have to be concrete (according to building code of THAT CITY). If those walls are not concrete and are not followed by building codes of the that city or state, well they can sue them.

    • @salikkuraishy100
      @salikkuraishy100 Před 3 lety

      @The Rivulet Again you are taking it personally, if the use of Sheetrock is not permissible by the building codes of that city then yes I will agree with you, but if the building code allows the use of the Sheetrock then there is no harm in that. If they had used concrete as per your suggestion and to my understanding that must be high rise building. That will increase the load and stress on the foundation further increasing the cost of the building and maintenance.
      Again if building codes of that city does not allow the use of the Sheetrock then yes builders are at fault and residents are eligible to sue them.

This will reduce the weight on the building than brick walls! As you said 31st floor, it is very much important to balance the weight acting on the building frame! It costs them big to take the material upto that height. And moreover you should have asked them how the construction being done and what materials would they use beforehand! 🤝

Was in for a rude shock when they sold the flat categorically stating a clear view and not disclosing any development by them in front of the tower. However just a couple of months later they launch another project ( Vero) bang in front of the tower in which they sold me the flat. The view was extremely critical for me and hence had chosen the unit accordingly. The salesman tells that the view from my booked flat would not be impacted at all and when I ask for written confirmation then they stop replying /responding to mails. How can such a brand firstmisell, then lie repeatedly and then behave in an unprofessional manner. Would not recommend to anyone thinking of booking with them.
    Significant stress with no resolution / effort by builder to resolve.
