Welcome back to Pootis Customs, the show where Mr Rudge runs his mouth for quarter of an hour or more about his models and gives you ideas and tips on what to build and how it's built.
Today we're looking at my OO gauge Annie and Clarabel, like Percy they are meant to be "what if" Hornby releases with a bit of my own personal twist to them to make it more difficult.
I hope you all enjoy this episode and learn something from it (I'd be surprised if you learned anything from my dribble videos) hopefully next episode won't take so long!

To bring models that have gone through so many changes back from the brink and with renewed life is a beautiful thing. Working miracles here! Not the first time I’ve seen someone repurpose the battery-operated Annie and Clarabel bodies but this is the first time I’ve seen such extra loving care taken to really push them that extra mile.

Thank you very much for your nice words, I've got a third sibling planned for the two as I bought a cheap Clarabel at a car boot and I've yet to get around to converting her into another composite

I envy your collection of Hornby Thomas stock and I moved out of my parents’ place years ago so my modeling dreams are very much limited these days so I can kind of live vicariously through videos like these, haha. Doesn’t hurt that your club layout is awesome too! Makes for great B-roll

Sorry to ask but could you do more custom showcases on your hornby thomas fleet or maybe even an updated collection nice Annie and clarabel though I think they look better than the bachmann ones!
I think I'll be doing another collection video soon, once I got some more major characters built or collected it'd be worth doing another collection video otherwise I'd do one now, suddenly get Henry and then the vide is out of date haha
I suppose it makes sense to fill in the push-pull windows on Annie, but it's rather hard for me to get used to the change XD Very nicely done, I plan on using the Battery Powered shells myself just because they're more durable than a 3D print and look really rather nice. And I also plan on making use of the Thomas shell as well too.
Good old kitbashing, usually the materials are more durable than Resin printed model currently! I've seen people use the Thomas shells to make their "improved Hornby Thomas" models using either old Dapol Terrier or Hornby Toby chassis.
Personally, I prefer Annie without her windows. For me, it doesn't really make sense for her to have them if she doesn't have push pull equipment fitted to her
How come no one noticed of the bachmann Bill or Ben in the background with Toby
That most likely is the Hornby Ben that lives on the layout as I don't own any of the twins by bachmmn
I have to ask this or all those ho models or 00 models your because they look amazing and I wanted to ask if you could possibly do a collection video
Thank you, all my models are OO gauge as they're mostly Hornby based models, Bachmann don't make the Thomas range in HO scale because the engines and rolling stick are much bigger than conventional HO scale stuff out there. I'll eventually make an updated collection video on all my OO Thomas stuff but I got a few more models to make!

So at Bressingham we have an airhorn in the guards compartment of our trains to signal to the driver we are all ready to go after blowing the whistle and guard is on board, I just thought it'd be a niche headcanon thing to have Clarabel to do
