Uplifting and bursting with energy, Blue Sky Horizon is a work that is very personal to the composer. Written on a day when he came out of a long depression episode, Randall Standridge communicates the elation that individuals who live with mental health conditions feel when it is "a good day." Driving motives, catchy rhythms, accessible ranges, and a pops-inspired feel combine to celebrate the moments when we can all find joy. Part of Randall Standridge's The unBroken Project. - Hudba
“No percussionists we’re harmed in the making of this video” 😂😂😂
bro let's just stop to admire the percussionists who have to play all this lmao
@@blhsia I played it in my schools concert band a few weeks ago, snare drum/hi hat/ride cymbal
I play marimba for this song we're playing on our Winter concert. Man i really wanted Timpani.

We played this song for an assessment for band and we got a very good rating in it!! We loved this song!
My band is playing 4 songs from this project in 7th grade and they love all of them! Great work❤️
Even grade five music !?
@@ivyart3737 there is 5 songs in the unbroken project, they said they are playing 4 so i assume they are doing the songs:
Choose Joy (Grade 3)
(not) Alone (Grade 2.5-3)
Blue Sky Horizon (Grade 2)
Fragile (Grade 1.5-2)
and not the grade 5 song

I played this song In 6 grade and I absolutely 100% loved it wish I could play it again in my band I’m in now
we had 9 percussionists and i had to play woodblocks, wind chimes, triangle, and tambourine by myself so all of the pressure was on me because if a had messed up it throws all of the percussionists off and we would have been strewed.
Played this in alternate for all state, we were given music to to sight read, this was my favorite, I instantly recommended to my director
u in texas?
I played this for a band thingy with other bands. When we played we got a 1 which means really good!
I played this yesterday, I’m in 8th grade. I was in a ensemble with 6-8th.The song was easy for me, but not for other people.
It was ez

I'm an 8th grade clarinet player, can't wait to play this at the PMEA District 10 Intermediate Band Concert!
My friend that is in band sent me this to listen to. We are both in 6th garden and he says they are learning this now. ( he is a trombone and bass guitar. Guitar for jazz starting next year when the other one leaves. Trombone for this year. The other bass is in 8th so he is leaving this year)
Playing this counting stars and Jurassic park theme song for my spring concert I’m in love with this song
Played this song as a flute this year. Honestly great in the total music lineup, just behind “my shot” from Hamilton and “les misérables” (les mis. has 4 different mini songs)
I've played this song before, last year, on trumpet, for SKIM camp, at Park Ridge State High School, i came from Boronia Heights State School ❤❤
I played this in UIL a few months ago
Time to play this in 1.5 hours
I am 6th grade and we love this song.
How are you playing this in 6th grade!? I'm in 8th and we are still struggling with our concert a week away!
I played this for an honor band event, it was lots of fun!
Same! What instrument did you play
I play the flute
Great piece for young band development using quarter notes and some beamed eighth notes. Good section features throughout and excellent duration.
Thank you...this one gives me some "Afterburn" energy, but with different content.
@@randallstandridge apparently you vistited my school in Texas last year and sadly I wasn’t in symphonic band then , kinda sad I missed you in Texas , but we are playing Dark Ride which is by You!
@@Cybracs Maybe our paths will cross sometime
@@randallstandridge yeah, what’s funny is that when my band teacher told me that I was actually shocked cause I wanted to ask you questions for my 7th grade Music project
Choose joy, but it’s actually playable
Low brass is not forgotten!
7th grade and we are playing this along with 7 other songs
I played this when I was in 6th I play percussion and I have been playing for like 4 years and I love this song (If I replaced the drummer in this for me you would not notice anything diff)
playing this for honor band! Love it.
Night of music? :o
@@ryanxu9983 quite frankly have no clue what that is.
@@Jabberskanabber aw. Our city honor band is playing this and fanfare on a theme of imagination and i thought you were in our honor band
@@ryanxu9983 Nah. I've got "Byzantine Dances" and "Rippling Water Colors" in my libeup
@@ryanxu9983 I FOUND YOU
do you want me to guess where you live
We are playing this song in band class for our winter concert and we have 8 percussionists. Which sounds like a lot but for this song it's really not.
Percussionist 1 - Timpani
Percussionist 2 - Snare, high hat, ride cymbal, wood block
Percussionist 3 - Crash and Suspended cymbal
Percussionist 4 - Triangle, tambourine, wind chimes
Percussionist 5 - Bells
Percussionist 6&7 - xylophone
Percussionist 8 - Chimes and marimba
It's so much 😂
My band is taking this and (not) Alone to NAU soon. I play high hat+rush cymbal
I'm in 6th we handled this pretty well last year at Anaheim
I’m playing this today at my concert
