this is just my theory but i feel like the mom really forgot that beef stew was night's fave food (i think this was day's favorite food too as the mom said "you love beef stew TOO") i feel like if day did not stop night from leaving, she would let night leave early that time. she looks so guilty when day said that night's favorite food was beef stew
Mark is such a great actor. I sobbed when I saw his teary eyes when he was laughing with Day at the 'table scene'.
"Please take care of her. That's my child." That hit me HARD! 😂🥰
Once again, this series has given us just what we needed. After the epic emotional ending of episode 9, we got all the cuteness and loving we needed in episode 10 (aside from the whole mother business). Honestly, I've seen episode 9 at least a dozen times now with different reactors, and EVERY time that last scene leaves me a wet mess (even in the "Previously" part of episode 10)! Seeing Mhok and Day cultivate their relationship outside of the "Caregiver/receiver" mode was a true joy to behold. You are so right about how natural and organic Dr. Jimmy's and Sea's chemistry is together. the way Mhok lovingly looks at and frets over Day constantly, and the way Day's entire demeanor lights up and shines so brightly whenever Mhok is around. I don't think any other actors could pull this off like Dr. Jimmy and Sea! But let's take a moment to get Mom discussed. Actually, "disgusted" would probably be a better word for my thoughts about her ... at least in the first 2/3 of the episode. When she took Day's phone and them changed the wifi password, my first thought was "What is Day, 12 years old?" No! He's a grown-assed man of at least 20 or so (university age), and she was treating him like a middle school student. And then when she dumped that load of guilt on Night as well (thankfully Day overheard it!), I was truly done with her. But I was also happy to see Day stand up for himself and use her own words against her. I think that may have been the seed that gets her to begin to reconsider her actions/opinions. (Fingers crossed!) We began to see hints of this at the Christmas dinner, when she admitted to not being a "lovely mom" to Day, and reinforced Day's attempts to reach out to Night. Speaking of Night ... Mark deserves an award for his nuanced portrayal of the Night character. When Day said "i forgive you ... for everything", you could literally see the weight being lifted from Night's shoulders. Not only did we see subtle changes in his facial expression and the welling up of tears in his eyes, but we also see subtle changes in his posture showing his relief. And all of this was brought to fore again at the Christmas dinner scene. How Night went from feeling like a 3rd wheel to the emotions of finally feeling accepted in his own family. And most of that was initiated by Day's insistence that he stay, and remembering beef stew was Night's favorite, too. Then we see the hint that he will be taking on Porjai's child as his own, confirming the ship we've all been building over the past several episodes. Methinks he will end up in the same category as Mhok. Night (Mark) was really the MVP of this episode. As for the whole transplant scenario for episode 11, I have a tendency to agree with you that something is going to go wrong. Corneal transplants are not a given success. As with any such operation, there can be complications and even rejection. And I agree that all the time we've spent with Day leaning to accept his blindness, having the series end with him blind would not be unrealistic. I guess we'll just have to wait and see about that. I was also encouraged to see Mhok and Mom starting to build some bridges in the preview as well. Finally, you mentioned something about the romantic vs caretaker relationship, and I just wanted to chime in with my personal experience. I cared for my late husband for about 18 years of our 20+ years together. I think over time, the two roles can begin to merge ... to the point where you don't know where one stops and the other starts. Nor does it matter. I guess I really hadn't considered how much I loved him until after he was gone. Probably because a lot of my time was spent taking care of his personal needs. But when I no longer needed to do that, I realized how much I missed the romantic side of our relationship. Not necessarily the sexual part (his condition made that difficult and painful for him), but the parts where we could have entire conversations with only a few words. The parts where I instinctively knew what he needed and he knew what I was thinking. Those are the parts the are so subtly and aptly portrayed by Dr. Jimmy and Sea as Mhok and Day. I find myself seeing myself in Mhok a lot. Thanks for letting me ramble on here. I really love your reactions. See you next video!
My only complain about the story is that I wish we could see more about Mhok as an individual. He is such an awesome person, so kind and put so much effort to take care of Day, but he went through a lot being so young with his sister's death and his messy past.
Although I'm sure a lot has changed for him since he started taking care of Day, he barely talks how he really feels about everything. He's one of the most special characters I've ever saw in a show, truly beautiful soul.

I’m up to nearly 525 dramas completed and I am normally a binge watcher. However, I made an exception for this one - only the second show I have ever NOT binge watched. That said, having watched thru episode 9, I will now be taking a hiatus until all episodes are released and avoiding all reaction videos and other social media posts. I have mentioned this in other forums, but this show is a game changer in many ways, not just for BLs, but for ALL genres. The writing, directing, acting, cinematography, music, the details, the emotions - everything is on a new level of excellence. Producers, beware, we will be expecting a whole lot more from you going forward. On another note, I wish one day we could drop the BL/GL tags. This isn’t just a great BL drama … it’s a great DRAMA … period. See you in two weeks.
Regardless of what the ending is. I think Aof will make it work either way. I mean he hasn't let us down so far. And I think the message will still be there. It's about hope and living your life without limitations, right? Day has learned that already, he's not letting his blindness lead his life, and I feel like if he gets his eyesight back it will be the same for him. Whatever happens at the end, I'll be happy. I just want Day happy and with Mhok at the end. That's all I care about. JimmySea told us not to watch alone and while I thought it was because of heavy angst, it was really cuz MhokDay were going to make us feel single lol. I'm scared for next episode.... we'll see what happens.
I'm visually impaired - lost sight in one eye after an accident, and have lost some in my other eye. You'd be surprised how your other senses kick in more and how much your brain adapts to the loss. I can still see, but it's hit and miss. Some days is better than others, and I may well lose all of the sight in my "good" eye one day. My life isn't over, nor is it any less worth living. I love this series for showing what can be, not just what was lost. In particular, even disabled people can be loved unconditionally. They aren't just to be pitied.

I don`t think his sight will heal. Feel like there is some future clips in the MV where he still don`t see, like by the river, or in the pool. Oh, I am so invested❤️
When I look past the frustration of the mother, I realize her character was written the way it is to give insight to those people who actually are taking care of people with disabilities in hopes of showing them that sure that person has a disability but there's still a human being they still think for themselves, they know what they want, they know what their dreams are and it's not the mother's right or the Guardians responsibility to squash whatever dream that individual has. Her character has been so focused on work that for the past 3 months when she could have read her son a book or went with him up a mountain or done any of the things that Mhok helped him to do, she never changed her life one bit. From the start I think the mother has been a very selfish person. That may not be what some people want to hear, but this is been about her not changing her world to make room for him. And at the same time making Night be a servant using guilt. Lastly, not even contacting the father about his son possibly losing his sight forever.
I'm disappointed with Day's mom but I understand her mom instinct. Day and Night reconciliation is so satisfying, it's short but very emotional. You can really feel that Mhok and Day are good boyfriends with of their words and actions and I love them for that because mostly the other ships in other series, the relationship are so toxic that you barely enjoy them together. Beautiful reaction Javi, your reactions makes my heart full.

I understand Night a bit better now. I don't think he every resented Day he cared about him but what he really wanted was his mom to pay even a sliver of attention to him as she does Day so he took to drinking and partying to kind of mask the hurt and from his conversation on the phone it seems the nightclub might be his/partnership and now it makes a bit more sense when Day entered they called him Mr. Day. Can we just all applaud Mark's performance he is just great in all his roles so much and need him to get a lead role soon. The reconciliation between him and Day and also the whole family healing together on Christmas Day was done so beautifully and just seeing Night's tears of sadness and eventually happiness was much needed and let's be honest if it wasn't for Mhok being there I don't think they would have made it there.
This is just a great story.
His mom was such a villain in this episode. I never considered her a villain before, but just so selfish in this episode. Like it reminds me of the parents from Midnight Chicken. I know these are shows, but it makes me worried about life for disabled people in Thailand. Why is your reaction automatically just shut your child in completely just because they have a disability? Like it truly makes me so sad that that’s her reaction and that that was their reaction in Midnight Chicken. I understand the fear aspect, but Day has literally been mostly blind this entire time and living his life happily. Just because he’s fully blind now doesn’t mean he hasn’t learned to adapt thanks to Mohk.
i also think the eye donation has a catch to it too.
maybe after opening the blindfold, Day might have his vision for a period of time but still ended up being blind.
ep10 is smooth sailing and ep12 must be something feel good so somewhere in ep11 must have a con to it.
57:35 i think the mom turned these things as a habit since Night and Day were young where she thinks Night is a strong kid and Day the weak. (remember Night telling Day that Day is a papa's boy and Night the mama's boy that's why Day turned into a crybaby after the separation which the mom giving extra attention to Day and neglecting Night coz he's "strong"). 🤷🏻♂️\just maybe/
I love Mhok he is a natural care giver. In that he's so instinctually smart when it comes to Day. The date was perfect. He's never condescending he always takes into consideration what Day would like and he finds a way to make that happen. Even when he knows what it will cost him. Because he doesn't make it about himself he makes it about Day. And how can you not love that about somebody....
I knew they would reconcile Night and Day, but to me after 9 episodes of build up and angst, the reconciliation was a bit too quick. But it's a drama so there's that.
The people who say they understand the mom's instincts are as delusional as she is. And I say that because most people now a days don't know that back in the day people used to institutionalize people with disabilities to keep them 'safe' but mostly out of sight. And they did it because like this no good mom (who punished her sons to spite their father, making children pay for the shit that went on between adults) who doesn't think Day can think for himself therefore making him unable to make his own decisions, they also made decisions for them. That's shame about no longer having the perfect child she can brag on. That's not love...that's control. And confusing one for the other is delusional and dangerous. There is nothing about the mom I like. Because she's made Day's blindness about her and how she feels. While Mhok has made it about Day and how he feels. While Night loves his little brother there's a great deal of guilt involved and as we were shown in this episode the mom uses that guilt like a hammer to keep Night in check. So to me the Christmas dinner was bullshit, because it's not earned. She still doesn't want Day with Mhok, she hadn't give Day his phone back. And even at the end when she went to tell Day about the donor she looked diagusted that he was with Mhok.

I feel like if Day gets his sight back now it will undermine the entire theme. Acceptance and living a best life, not in spite of the vision loss but because of the love and support of Mhok (and his friends). I don't think the writer will kill the entire premise, so this operation can not succeed or not fully now or I will be very disappointed.
I don’t think Day’s recovery would undermine the series. Last twilight is all about family, hope, meaning of life with or without ability of seeing. Everyone is trying on their own way, let’s say that Mhok, Night, or even the professor that found himself a cancer. so if Day could get his sight back after going through all this. His sight is such a bonus of his life.
@@xinxintan5784 Maybe you are right. Hope is a strong message but I feel the whole show has been about acceptance of vision loss and how you can paint and dance and run and travel and date. We will all see next week, I guess :)
People who have that operation have it because they really want their eyesight. I hope the operation is successful....maybe the eyesight comes back slowly. Wouldn't you be disappointed if the operation didn't work. Either way...the series is a romantic masterpiece. Give me romance over 'gangsters' any day.

With P’Aof, none of us know what’s going to happen. And, every episode of this series is perfection. But, we have to remember that this is still a drama and can’t be completely fluffy. Mom is being used in that sense as well as the question about the eyesight. Because, that can change their whole dynamic as a couple. It’s in P’Aof’s very capable hands. And, like you, I loved Night’s line about Porjai’s child. Hope that storyline will be filled out in the last two episodes. I didn’t plan to watch the whole episode with you, but you are so invested in it, that I had to follow along.🤣
my most important apprehension is solved. Night and Day. (Mark Pakin As NIGHT!!!!) children should never have to feel like they're competing for their parents affections. All along, that was the root of their conflict. Now it's out of the way❤
I have sooo many things to say about this mom.. I rarely use the word hate, but i HATE her.. She's so selfish, and even when I thought she got it, it just got worse 😪Oh she could take a day off because SHE wanted a family day, and telling Day she made his favourite food, when it was actually Nights.. And the thing she said when Day said it was Night's favourite food "you like it too".. I don't know if my hate for her have just clouded everything she does.. I felt like that was her redemption, and it's definitely NOT ENOUGH 😤
It was amazing seeing Night and Day being brothers again.. And Day realizing the stuff the mom has made him go through.. Again MOM they're your kids not slaves or prisoners 😓
I just LOVE Mhok and Day.. My hope is that they will stay together no matter what happens in EP 11 or else I will be mad/sad.. I kinda hope that the operation has failed and that will lead to Day finally having a TALK with his mom, I hope he will shout at her too.. I think that's the only way she will get to understand..
In Moonlight Chicken Heart's parents was like Day's mom, and they didn't do ANYTHING for their son.. It was not until Heart finally snapped that they got it, and started changing.. I feel like we need that to happen here as well 😉

49:06 No normally paints smell the same I guess, but Aon says here at 48:01 that these are special paints with distinctive scents, probably made for the blind people to be able to distinguish colors !

I understand you, Javi! When I said that donation partially ruins the concept of the show in my opinion, someone replied that I have a negative mindset and that I do not wish happiness for Day =) This is not true, of course. I wish happiness and health to everyone. But here we are talking about the script of the series, and that's how I see the idea. I see a story about hope, that you can learn to be happy in the most difficult situation. It's both fabulous and realistic. Maybe I'm wrong. If Day really regains his eyesight, I'll be happy for him)

They are Romeo and Romeo through it all and I love that for them. I will say Night redeemed himself with that convo and then him stepping up for sis Porjai. I hoped that their mum redeemed herself but she still stuck in her ways on both her sons.
Honourable mention the cuteness of Aomori & his wife Pla at the painting 🖼️ workshop 🥰. This series always got me deep in my emotions it’s top three of favs. The mum unfortunately ended up disappointed me in frustration.
With the paints, if you listened closely, Aoa said that smells were put into the paints to differentiate them.
maybe Day can see after the surgery but only for limited time and still be a blind person later.

Feeling the EP11 curse is coming to hit us! The surgery will be successful but Day’s body will reject it after a while and he’ll lose his sight again which will put our lovely couple on edge on how they deal with the disappointment
So the second eye surgery is taken place
and this time the recuperation will go well,
no graft rejection from Day's eyes anymore

I'm a little afraid about next week's episode. Will Day really get his sight back. Will it work. But no matter what happens, I love the series and trust that P'Aof has made the right choices🥰 I love Night in this episode 🤭 He was so adorable and charming with his flirting😄 I'm also glad Day decided to forgive him. Always felt sorry for Night. Never seen him as a bad person. He never meant for Day to get hurt. I love Mark as Night. He has been perfect in his role 👏 I'm a bit disappointed in the mother. I understand why she's worried, but she can't treat Day like a little child😅🙈
i needed medical attention after this episode with how fucking angry i got at day & night's mother. im usually a very calm person but that lady infuriated me on a brand new level this ep like girl, what are tou even trying to accomplish? do you enjoy seeing your sons being miserable?
as for day and mhok, my fathers, i love them. mhok is the greenest flag to ever green and so is night btw with the way he told that nurse lady "take care of her. thats my child" we love a man who steps up for the woman he's with!
i really felt mhok's feelings of frustrations and humiliation when he kept getting denied of jobs. been there. but im really glad he gave the chef job a chance, he seems to really enjoy it and i love that for him.
i wont get into the whole eye donation thing because i feel very strongly about it and how it would completely defeat the point of the story so i'll wait until next episode to give my comments.
ive said this under another reaction as well, but mhok wanting day not to be angry at his mom is very real. mhok doesnt have any family & neither do i.
once you spend a long time all on your own with no one by your side you want the ones you care about to hold onto their own families. oh mhok, how i feel you.

Episode 11 = drama...I think that after operation Day won't see, it will create tension between Mhok and him...and we will cry a lot.
Episode 12, Day's sight will gradually return.
If it's like in the book, Day will not regain his sight 100% but he will see better than at the beginning of the series
1:10:37 I had the same exact feeling! I think the eye surgery will not work 100% and he would still continue to have the visual impairment.
Like you said, if it is successful, it goes against the message of the show.

Totally agree with you about the surgery and recovering his vision. I think it might take away from the beauty message of the story.
Also, the way they say “someone donates their eyes” trips me out because that’s not what happens. Someone dies and their eyes get donated.

I have a suspicion that it'll work but then start to deteriorate very shortly thereafter; just long enough to see his family and Mhok. It would be pretty devastating to get it back and be so happy, only to loose it again.

I completely agree with your pov on the donation thing, I really feel that this defeats the whole purpose of the show. I'll be happy for Day, but it will be more realistic if he doesn't get it as it's really not a piece of cake to get donations like that...

Watched the series last year also followed your reaction and I cried a river specially in the last few episodes (just like you but it wasn't this bad as in this one I had teary eyes every single episode) and just like you that series holds a special place in my heart , I love a lot of series but that one is more special and that level seemed far from being match until this came into picture...
Since ep 1 there hasn't an episode when my eyes didn't leak once it's a sort of trend now in each episode I have teary eyes at least once...

This mom is annoying. Obviously she's not emotionally stable to handle the challenges in her family, so she drowns herself in many jobs because for so many years she failed to provide the emotional stability to hold this family together. The way she treats her sons too differently. The worst thing is she never listens. She couldn't even figure out the problem between her two sons and if not for Day, Night would have left that night to celebrate Christmas away from them. I never thought I'd dislike a character here more than August.
Erm I get how you feel but gotta cut her some slack. The amount of stuff she had to go through to give her boys a better life that we don't see. From begging for food to their current status and still having to handle mother responsibilities....plus If she really didn't listen she wouldn't have known of Day's crush on August? She's just seeing from a more hardened realistic angle that was forced onto her. Love is unlikely to work if there's no food on the table. People who have gone through poverty would know.
