It hurts so much to see these senseless and frustrating efforts. But I just can’t stop watching it. Is it because something is wrong with me - or am I just waiting for the moment when they come along with any smart idea?
What a performance!!! As mentioned by others, if must use a crane, make sure cables are "locked" onto the crane hook to prevent accidental slipping off of the cables and associated equipment! Perhaps a screen should (have been) built across the crusher entry to catch oversize rocks/boulders!? This would most likely have prevented this situation of an "oversize" or "odd shaped" boulder being jammed at the crusher entry in the first place. And maybe add a remote jack hammer mounted on an extensible hydraulic arm to enable breaking up large boulders/rocks at the entry to the crusher that may be caught up or jammed. This would speed up clearing any obstructions very quickly and minimize downtime!
or maybe weld a beam across the shovels of the excavators so too big boulders can't be caught. Main problem also seems to be that one guy commands and another one operates the crane. Nothing good can come out of this. "Up up up".. do it yourself then!
@@AndreasDelleske Good idea on the beam on the excavator bucket. Probably reduces loading capacity, but it's a cheap and quick intermediate solution which saves all lost the boulder jam time already.

Boy, that's a heck of a mess..😳😱aren't the boulders supposed to be blasted up into smaller pieces before they're dumped in the Crusher? This doesn't look like it works out very well!😆😧
I’m surprised that they still have a job. Every minute is $$$$ lost…for the entire operation. If a boat is delayed because the crusher was down.. 1 hour that is millions of dollars lost… After 15 minutes of down time they had 3 full minutes between trucks to clean the entire thing and they were sleeping…
Any chance you could hold the camera a little more still, and stop with all the zoom in / zoom out and changing focus? And yes... the guy yelling and that hook arrangement are really maddening... can the operator not see the hook??
Awesome machine. Shame about the jams/blockages. Surely in this day and age there must be a better solution than some guy dangling a rod in a hole with no idea what he’s doing. Just sayin’ 🤷♀️
2nd video from this place ive watched and i got no idea where it is but its seriously mis-managed and underfunded , they must loose 10's of thousands of dollars in downtime

it like use sedan tires for F1 car. why you dont use rock breaker. i think cost of electricity used by gyratory crusher during jam time cover cost of an in-situ rock breaker after couple months.
I thought of a dozen different ways to break up these rocks just by watching this cluster mess. Sounds like 15 people trying to tell the operator what to do. Good luck with this cluster f%%- k.

instead of a crane operator, we have a man in the pit with a crowbar from a water pipe and a handle, and pushes the ore. just need another table where it will stand

An escavator arm with a jackhammer in the corner is what modern-day crushers use to keep production going. It would of just paid for itself.
