"Why did i make this thing, i don't even like tic tacs" 😂😂
@@justablitz what is it spoiling, exactly? it's just a quote from the video, and it's not one that will completely ruin your experience if you knew it was going to happen beforehand
😌 and often helps people watch the video entirely. which helps the author. plus keyword optimization.
its an idea that came to fruition 😌 thats the best part. making imaginary, tangible 🥰
@@justablitzI get it bro, the mobile problem when someone spoil it and being highlight at bottom video can be annoying.. sadge
@@regstarz6969 yes. it wasnt funny anymore when i saw it in the video. but wait another week and youtube has a completely new layout that noone knows how to navigate (like always)
Could probably use it for pills.
"No Jayce, we are _not_ calling it tictactech. Hextech is fine."
the only good hexagons ever brought this world, hextech
LOL'd
oh the misery
Pentatech*
Tictech
Gotta love the “Made in USSR” stamp on the table saw. Whether it was actually made in the USSR, or added as a joke, adds to the joke a hundred fold
If it was actually made in USSR, it just shows the quality of things they did back then
It was only the 90s!
@@HeavySandvichGuy1 Yes,cars too.
I can't speak to the table saw, but my family had a potatoe masher from the Soviet Union and I think it was made to withstand nuclear war.
@@stolenzephyr it probably was
5:58 that camera arm is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Your whole shop is awesome tbh
Bro all he has to do is want somthing, grab wood and make it
"Hexagons are the bestagons" I love hearing CGP Grey references in the wild
That video was debunked, the strongest shape is triangle
@ZoofyZoof But a triangle is the bestangle, triangles cannot be agon. Therefore Hexagons are still the bestagons.
@@msmaug644 Good response
@@ZoofyZoof and since hexagons can be made out of equilaterals triangles, the hexagons are the bestagons (also, the video was mostly talking about shapes efficiency more than strength)
HEXAGONS ARE THE BEST AGONS
I will never get tired of that swiveling camera arm, it's just such a damn cool look. You have literally the most unique woodworking channel on CZcams.
kind of funny to think he uses a camera behind the fancy camera to capture moving it
@@Oniichanani it's hard to visualize that setup, maybe he should have another camera behind these two
he just put it in third person mode@@Oniichanani
It’s funny because his channel is generic woodworking
What do you mean?, It's generic woodworking
All Joking aside, the amount of mechanical and engenieering knowledge that went into this is astounding. Kudos to you.
this is quality content. I don't even care for woodworking but your editing, camera work, jokes, and sheer engineering skill are something else man.
it's the exact same for me!
What have pentagons ever accomplished? Stealing a bunch of of crude oil 😂😂
NAH JIT💀💀💀
Couldn't even get that polite oil...
@@angstydoodles1101we’re American, the only requirement is that it’s not bolted down
@@milktenders6219and if it is, just bring a crowbar!
@@milktenders6219 If it's bolted down, they'll steal the bolts, too.
Gotta be honest, your one-liners got me unexpectedly giggling and laughing. Love your humour and work
He is pretty funny.
Crazy how some of the most inventive and stylish cinematography and editing I've seen on youtube is from a woodworking channel making an over-engineered tic tac box. Bravo.
Usually, I’m not one to watch woodworking videos, but this definitely caught my attention, and oh my god. The complexity, precision, and contrast on this thing is beautiful!
amazing engineering, craftmanship, and editing. use the tools you have available, and dont apologize.
Thank you! I’m very glad people are so understanding, this type of technology opens up some insane possibilities that I’m only just scratching the surface of :)
Yeah, I feel like hating on him for using a laser cutter is kind of petty and ridiculous. It’s not like it’s designed by AI or something. He still has plenty of talent in designing the parts.
@@rattlegoat it seems like a combination of gatekeeping and jealousy, but its also a story as old as time. older generations think the way they did things is the "proper" way, and using modern tools in cheating. in 10 years everyone will have a 3D printer or CNC/laser cutter in their house, and no one will think twice about it. it will open new doors for art and innovation.
If u could mass produce this I for one would buy this in a heartbeat@@GenericWoodworking
As a mechanical engineer, I love these type of videos! You should collab with I Did A Thing, such cool similarities and type of humour
Love his videos! Him, William Osman and Michael Reeves have been huge inspirations to me.
@@GenericWoodworking You gonna make a wooden roomba that curses next?
@I Did A Thing might throw him under the bus as well lol
Under the bus?
@@GenericWoodworkinglooks like you like This Old Tony as well 👀
The clear conclusion to your craftsmanship journey is that you make a wooden watch. And I think that's beautiful.
Wut
ekko
A dogam comedian, engineer, carpenter, cinematographer, etc all rolled into one. Extremely well done!
underrated channel. love your work, it looks so steampunky..kinda. Very beautiful
woodpunk you mean?😆
@@Castielnoob why didnt i think of that 😁
this man single handedly got me into woodworking and now i am making my own b17 out of balsa wood! thank you!
No way, that’s awesome!!! I used to go to a model plane building club a while ago too! Also great choice with the b17, it’s probably my all time favorite airplane alongside the spitfire. It looks like something that’s been pulled out of some steampunk sci-fi movie. Have fun and be careful with the superglue :)
One thing to be careful of is saw dust as it can cause lung issues if lots is inhaled. That is why i have a air cleaner on 24/7 as well as a mask for extra protection.@@GenericWoodworking
You won a subscriber with the foot plugging in the adapter 🤣very well done!
5:26 bro really thought he could flip us off without us knowing
That has to be one of the coolest things I've seen made made out of wood, and it's a damn Tic Tac dispenser.
5:19 How to "Accidentally" give someone the bird.
2:10 I overegineered drawing a pentagon.
This was such a treat in so many ways! The composition of your shots, the editing, music, perfect execution!
And the product, dude i don't even know where to start with praise. As a woodworker myself, it's astounding to me again and again what others can pull off with even the oldest/simplest tools and it shows again that it is indeed real skill involved. All theses gears, circles and the tiniest parts, fitting together so perfectly in the end... To even come up with the thing in the first place... The incredible variety of skills you show are amazing to me. Thank you for this video. :)
(quick reminder, I'm sure you are aware of it by now: kickback with planers is a thing, I'd recommend not standing directly behind the infeed, but a little beside it. )
Thank you for taking your time to write such a nice comment :) Yup, learned my lesson.
Dido what this person said. The camera was worth it too. The shots were super clean.
Loved everything here. The design, the camera work the lightly psychedelic interlude. Thank you.
I cannot stress this enough
Do not kiss blades, no matter how much you may love them, or how tempting it may be
This is even more important for power lines
You sir, are a genius in woodworking and mechanical engineering! What an amazing and inspiring project!
First vid of yours I have seen. Beyond your amazing woodworking skills and patience, your video making is amazing. Your humor, editing, and pacing is super engaging, which I feel is particularly important with this type of content. It makes it very easy for someone who doesn't do any woodworking, engineering, etc. to still be able to enjoy every minute. Thanks for the great video. I look forward to seeing what other amazing contraptions you have made! Cheers
i love that selfmade camers rig / arm. beautiful cinematogrophy!
The satisfaction at the end when one of your most complicated projects works out... Pffff, it's inimaginable, it's... priceless.
So, seeing your satisfaction when it worked it's also priceless.
I don't want to think how much time you spent for thinking about what you will create and make it in 3D, then the time to actually make it. But it is always worth the effort.
There's nothing wrong with not having the best tools. As my grandpa who was a woodworker always said: "you can't judge a craftsman by the quality of their tools, you judge them by the quality of their work."
And as someone who ended up doing antique restoration, I couldn't agree more. My favorite coworker is this guy who is in his 60s and does some amazing work with only his hand tools that are all about as old as him.
11:38 that shxt look like a rolex commercial😂😂😂
3:31
If Buddy agrees, I agree too.
6:45 bro just made the smoothest transition
I’m not a handy kind of guy and to be honest I have issues with building an IKEA bookshelf with three pieces but your humor and editing kept me around to watch the whole process. Good job my friend.
i realy like how you do all this woodworking stuff just to show off your insane cinematography skills
I never doubted your craftsmanship, but holy hell the editing in this one did surpass all expectations, great job!
6:50 the hand in the shoe got me hahah
Absolutely loved this! I have almost zero knowledge on woodworking. As a software developer, this gave me a lot of respect and insight into how a lot of engineering principles overlap. But man, this was beautiful. And your jokes made it a delight to watch. The amount of hard work that went into the device itself, the design, the aesthetics, the engineering, the filming, the production... I wish you the best! Stunned with it all!
Honestly this is both inspiring and humbling. I love human ingenuity and craftsmanship, and you showcased them both here.
i am just impressed, that is a beautyful piece. I dont care about the tools you are using. You create rly insane good stuff with the tools you have.
Gražiai padaryta. Faina matyt, jog Lietuvis dirba prie tokių projektų. Būtinai paseksiu ✌️
The amount of effort put into not just the product, but the filming and editing process too is impressive.
0:55 "Those will arrive in 3-5 business months" 😂😂
Too cool. Not only great little box with tons of skill. But very entertaining and great video work
lol 2:52 made me sub lmao
This type of content is why I enjoy browsing through CZcams. Just a passionate engineer, creating a crazy solution to problem we never knew existed. Loved it
The aesthetic work is lovely and I hope to see more of it, it's absolutely beautiful!
This is my number 1 channel your tactic box is brilliant 👏 keep up the great work Mr I can't wait to see what happens next
Cheers from AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺 👍
That 6:22 edit with music was really tasteful. God job mate.
Your tools your choices...... absolutely right....
Things made with old tools are much more cool
Honestly I considered this art. Everything from the looks, design, and mechanics is just amazing. Great job!
6:59 brain broken
was bro wearing a thong at 4:40 ??
How
Wow this is an awesome project good job ! The fact that you can just think something up like that is a feat of engineering 🎉
Wow, I am amazed. One of the coolest build videos i've seen.
I'm so glad CZcams recommended this to me! I love the engineering that went into this project
I dont think you realize how fucking awesome this is. That shit looks like it could be a replacement for the golden compass! I love the difference in colors and the lazer burned edges, it all works so well!
this is Huge inspiration for my projects actually because of how complex but impressive it is, its like clock work but not as small but still as complicated
with the high quality of your wood working, you also put in quality editing , and gags comparable to an independent film production! Impressive is an understatement !
I'm really glad I stumbled onto this video. Great editing, cinematography, humor, and designs. And even including a hook to get people to go watch another video. Amazing.
This is incredible engineering, especially with the resources, this video can promote people to do creative engineering, and I definitely approve of this memory! Incredible details of creativity!
I'm very happy the algorithm pushed this into my feed! Very satisfying to watch and the end result is stunning - documented via a very well made video! 👌
"Honey, Ice, Rocks, Catan"
Truly the four elements XD
Okay I kept watching and your whole setup is so cool, and you're super hilarious to boot! Can't wait to check out more of your stuff! 😁😁😁
bro this video was awesome i was hooked the whole time, great mix of awesome engineering and video design
Exactly dude
So beautiful and intricate! Every time you threw parts down I winced - like they were all so meticulously made.
This is actually crazy, the aesthetics are great and the mechanism is so cool!
CZcams has actually been recommending me thing worth watching lately your channel will make a fine addition to my collection
Great video! I love all of the jokes, and the final Tic Tac box is incredible!
Love the vibes of your humor
This was soooo freaking cool man, I love overengeniered designs those are the best. You make them because its cool and you can, no other reason is necessary
i really like how you show the struggle and the beauty of making something
Absolutely incredible craftmanship
OMG I love this project so much! This has to be the best thing on CZcams.
what a beautiful piece of art
great video! I like the complex mechanisms in wood.
your workshop has such an interesting vibe, i don't think i would want to work in it, but somehow it feel old and new at the same time
I absolutely adore the humor in this video
This was incredible!!! Awesome stuff
A true work of art !
amazing engineering design and editing your humor was also very good giggled through the entire video, 10/10 literally the best
I admire content creators that are infusing their serious content with humor xD you sir deserve every one of your followers and many more to come
Great work!!!! Beautiful build
This was excellent. Lovely to watch. See you again in 2 to 28 months.
Amazing piece of art!
That is a super cool mechanism! Great work.
Pentagon, hexagon, octagon, your mom is gone.
Jokes aside, your effort to make a humble woodworking video into an entertaining masterpiece is truly remarkable. I laughed a lot while watching. Loved this vid!
This is hands-down, the Jankiest shop I have ever seen. And second that is a vary cool Little mechanical dispenser, very pretty. 👏👏👏
Cool warehouse storage room with all your equipment.
Bravo! Beautiful piece.
Very cool and quite funny throughout!
Absolutely brilliant video. Bravo!
This man is an entertainer!
And a gifted woodworker.
Yes my favorite case opening channel is back!
Amazing project and AMAZING edit!
I find your humour very catchy, your work is amazing!!! 😂
Thoroughly enjoyable mate, hope to see more.
I’m watching a genius at work , truly an inventor , wow
This is the first time I’ve run across your channel and it was a pretty much instant sub. I love the humor. “Had the blade set in Australian mode” 😂
it looks really pretty! fantastic work!
