    Thanks for the Video! I've done 2 so far and if you file the ribs off then install and mark them, then cut the notch on the milling machine they are perfect very smooth and very solid!

    Just looking to order a couple of Anschutz magazines, but 'stumbled' upon your video. Thank you very much for this information on 'How To'.
    You've just saved me in excess of $106.00 shipping included, but with taxes extra, here in Canada, on 2 mags.

      Glad to hear it! It is a worthwhile mod for sure and I have several that I keep in rotation with perfect feeding and reliability. I actually just used two savage mags in my 1403 competition rifle in a match last month.
      Thanks a lot for the comment and let me know how your mod goes.

    Hi,
    I watched your nice video, saw peepsights on your 1416. What kind of front sight did you fit? I am looking to install a tunnel front sight to my 1422.
    They have the same barrels.

    I've never seen this type of anschutz before with two triggers like that, what's that all about?

    • @inrangerimfire20two
      @inrangerimfire20two  Před 2 měsíci

      It’s a Hunters “set” trigger on this 64 model. You pull the one trigger normally, or if you want an extremely light trigger you pull the other one first. I have a video on it.

    Going further......the Savage MKII and the Anschutz 64....if you look cloely at both......seem to share a lot of design similarities. Does anyone here know of the design history of each...and if one copied a bit from the other?

    • @inrangerimfire20two

      Absolutely they did, but years before the MKII rimfire. The MKII was actually a Canadian design made by Lakefield which Savage acquired in the early 90s. Savage and Anschutz had a partnership where they branded their rifles with each other’s marks in order each other to get more market in their opposite regions. At the time (60s) savage wanted more exposure in Europe and Anschutz in North America
