Hey, Kevin, congrats on keeping your band working for 50 years, that's incredible. BTW, the 1st REO album I bought was REO T.W.O.
I've worn it out for since 1972 and I still consider one of the finest straight ahead bar room rock n roll albums ever. the REO version of Little Queenie was the best cover of that tune ever IMHO. I'll always miss Gary Richrath; he was the definitive rock guitar slinger in his prime and I'll treasure my memories of seeing REO live in the early/mid 70's when they were the best rock band in America!

Rubber Soul was my first album too! Your first three would have been my picks too, but I’d have to stay in that era and go with Joni Mitchell Blue (or Court and Spark) and then Loggins and Messina’s Motherlode. This would be a great game to play when people are over for drinks or dinner. But it’s hard to choose!

Intersting picks from Kevin. I can't pick five albums without giving it some serious thought, but while Traffic's Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys is the first album that I might pick, I would definitely choose The Stones' Sticky Fingers. I don't like the two Blues numbers on it, but the rest of the album more than makes up for that. And who knows... after a lifetime of listening to the album on a desert island, I might eventually like those two Blues tracks. But probably not.

@@mournblade1066 Consider saying instead that you don't like the Beatles if that's the case. Or, if you like them but not as much as so many do, just say that. If you feel other legends were better guitar players, drummers, song writers, composers etc, say that and make your case. Many would actually agree with you on that. All of these options would make you sound like someone who is interested in music, and objective enough to talk about it.
Saying the Beatles are the most overrated band however just makes you sound a bit silly. Especially when you follow that statement by rattling off a list of musicians, most of whom would completely disagree with you...Heck, even Keith Richards would probably disagree.
