Just to clarify on this video, the point you should be taking away from this is that we can’t go on a unlimited spending spree due to UEFA guidelines. The new Premier League punishment scheme is still massive news for us as it allows us to keep our best players while also taking pressure off us to bring in that extra player that we wouldn’t of previously done
The champions league won't punish a club with world class players , it doesn't make sense . They want the best cup competition, this would degrade it,and could cause a new super league to take it on. Just my opinion

Yes I would gladly accept a 1 year ban from European competition in order to strengthen our squad and concentrate on domestic league / cups. What we need more than anything is to actually win something. Then I think you will see us fulfill our massive potential and go on to win multiple trophies over the next decade.
i think this its a much more sensible rule and i don't honestly think the club will go mad spending loads of money and you don't need to spend 100's of millions on 1 player to get quality just look at Isak and Bruno and Gordon etc great players for around the 50ish million price , its a great opportunity to get a few extra players as this season has shown how much we struggled due to injuries and how Eddie was also struggling to try and put a team together with what he had left, i still feel we are improving all the time and it will still take another year or two to be up there in top 4. Com on the Toon!!!!
Yeah it is still brilliant news and takes the leash off our necks to still invest around the team. I agree that money spend wisely can still bring in attractive and brilliant players for good amounts of money
How the hell does PSG keep getting past these UEFA rules then, Kylian Mbappe is on a million euros a week alone yet the tv money in France is unbelievably low so they can’t be obliging with the rules
Spending power is good. Spending well is better. Spending like a Chelsea is warning for all clubs. It will be couple of years before they sort out their own mess. Besides for the sake of the game I don't agree with unlimited spending. It will destroy the integrity of the league and football in general.
The UEFA rules apply to the wage bill, don't they? If so then that would mean that, in theory, PIF could simply sell off (or release) all the players they no longer need, which would free up a lot of space on the wage bill. The newly proposed Premier League rules would mean that PIF could go out and sign new players, pay the fine, but still afford the wages without breaching the current UEFA limits due to having cleared out all the 'deadwood'.
The club wouldn't go on a mad spending spree i imagine, we would be able to actually buy a player when we need one though rather than be in the situation of last window where we cant even loan a player to bolster the squad
The fact that three clubs are against the new ruling on spending, i.e Manure, Spurs and Arsenal, shows me that as a whole this is good news for the Toon to get some quality players in and close the gap at the top

Based on how city took the mick and how so many teams such as them and Barca have done so, I'm not totally worried. Our chances of European qualification might have improved slightly recently, but it's still murky. So assuming we fail to qualify, that would give a new squad only a single season without it, not exactly catastrophic. Besides, with our injury problems, I've got no problem taking a quick break. It's better that than being shackled and going up and down like we have been
I’d take the uefa hit to build the squad. What we definitely won’t do is buy silly numbers of players for the first team. They know it’s too disruptive. They might buy a lot of youf players to sell later maybe. But they’ll maybe get five or six players max. ( two strikers, a right winger, a fast centre back and a right footed cb plus a ‘keeper).
FFP needs to go and teams should be able to spend what they want, money don't always buy success likes of united could spend 500m and end up 8th or win the league, thats the best thing about it, coz every manager is different and targets are different
Adam, I would suspect that UEFA will change their rules. Real Madrid and Barcelona for example have huge financial problems. Those teams competing whilst teams that have money cannot spend it is ridiculous. I think the European courts might have something to say about that.
It seems to me PL are trying to dodge an anticompetative law suit by removing a relegation threat to ambitious clubs wanting to break into European competitions and dumping it on UEFA. I notice the PL still want to cut off Saudi led sponsorships into Newcastle United to block boosting its revenue stream to compete with those clubs who already have them in place and can easily move in the transfer market to maintain a lock on other clubs ambitions.
It must be frustrating for the owners of NUFC who are worth £billions from a country that have £trillions but have their hands tied but I guess this is something better than nothing, it just means they need to be careful not to cross that red line of spending too much money of players and wages. I think it is even more important to build a state of the art mega stadium with a capacity of 90k to 100k to generate more income which would make NUFC more sustainable.
I think it's great news for the club.. Get the big names in... N get a fine. I'd say Eddie howe will recruit smartly tho in the next window. Howay the mags
Just imagine 2 seasons of champions league with no Madrid teams, no Barcelona, no Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal , inter , AC to name a few. UEFA would be destroyed overnight. They obviously going to have to change as well because if everyone decided to just go mental on spending that’s what will happen. Open the door to the super league as well
Going complete Al-Hilal in one or two windows could trigger a backlash from other clubs in the form of new rules on commercial revenue for example, as you touched on in the last video. So I agree that we could overspend a little bit, but within reason. I’m sure the club and the owners have looked at, and continue to look at, all conceivable options.
Yeah well said, still positive news for Newcastle and they will now start to relax a bit more with FFP. I would also agree that a heavy spending spree would create conflict and backlash that would paint us in a negative light with the rest of the league
So its ok for clubs who bring in the most revenue to buy who ever they want , and uefa are happy about that, but still look down there noses at Newcastle for being a amaller club spending in the same way. Who do these people think they are. Nufc wont be buying like Chelsea or madrid, they simply want to be able to spend alot more than they can at the minute to at least compete at a higher level.

UEFA aren’t going to ban English teams from Europe it would completely devalue their competitions they need the English teams! Uefas rules will come into line with these new rules and will just heavily fine clubs which for the likes of us isn’t an issue.
good to see you have followed up after my comment yesterday. One thing that happened last year was Juventus declared their breach of UEFA rules after qualifying for Europa conference so they would just be kicked out of that , leaving them to have serve ban ahead of qualifying for a bigger tournament next season, I aslo think Chelsea did something last year and were fined by UEFA knowing they would not be in Europe this season. Other point if banned from Europe top players wouldnt want to come.
You are right about Juventus & Chelsea. I am a Rangers fan & Chelsea is the English club I follow, but I wish Newcastle United, the very best of luck is just not against Chelsea, but if you do beet us well worse things could happen it's only a game after all. Take care all the Toon Army.
So psg Barcelona man city etc can all spend and not get banned in Europe champions league etc. But it banns newcastle sorry but the system is broken. Screw Europe let's just spend and win silverware and focus on domestic cups and the premier league and keep our key players. As ange said we are not banks we are football clubs.
It doesn't need to be unlimited spending... Just buy Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Lautaro Martinez, Alphonso Davies, Rafa Leao, Maignan and Jarrod Branthwaite + a dozen top kids for the youth team! Spend that solid £1bn and then chill.
Someone has been on the Brown Ale me thinks😅. Newcastle United, I don't have that kind of pulling power yet, unlike a Real Madrid & also a lot of foreign players only want to play for London clubs because London is all they know of the U.K. for example, Vialli moved from Juventus to Chelsea, a turnement asked him why he did not tuse to go to Glasgow Rangers Vialli sead because Rangers dont play in London & that it the mentality of foreign players buy & large to to get acplayer like Mbappé you would need to more than brack the bank plus build him a mansion with a private jet & let him live in London or Paris fly in for training & on match day's to Newcastle & back again that is what would be required so sign such players. You need to have a measured approach to transfers & build up the profile of your squad, not just go from a claped out old banger under Ashley to a Lamborghini in a day take time to let your squad develop at a sustainable rate Newcastle United has been sensible for the most part in the transfermarket under the new ownership, but more background checks need to be done on players in the future as this season has proved.
@alanfox691 @alanfox691 you don't know what the new rules would be that's the point. This luxury tax could have all kinds of limitations or % based revenue rules. The new eufa rules would be salary based and we don't know enough it's as simple as that. It's all guessing ifs buts and maybes. Reading the top line and having no thoughts beyond it.
I fully understand that but that rant video doesn't look good especially when wanting to maintain a good relationship with the club regarding media passes/Access ect ⚫⚪ @@AdamPearson1242
We have to strike a balance. Current restrictions aren’t great! But unlimited spending, although it would benefit us, would ultimately be horrendous for the game.

Glasgow Rangers Vialli sead because Rangers dont play in London & that it the mentality of foreign players buy & large to to get acplayer like Mbappé you would need to more than brack the bank plus build him a mansion with a private jet
& let him live in London or Paris fly in for training & on match day's to Newcastle & back again that is what would be required so sign such players.
You need to have a measured approach to transfers & build up the profile of your squad, not just go from a claped out old banger under Ashley to a Lamborghini in a day
take time to let your squad develop at a sustainable rate
Newcastle United has been sensible for the most part in the transfermarket under the new ownership, but more background checks need to be done on players in the future as this season has proved.
All this information you're going is based on nothing here. There's a proposal and we don't know the full details so cannot draw a conclusion yet.
We can from past
U.E.F.A. action.
Never make those TikTok’s again Adam lad 😅
My TikTok videos are just a joke and designed for a completely different audience, you won’t ever any of those here on my CZcams 😅
@@AdamPearson1242 you’ve managed to rattle the makems that’s the main thing 👍
I fully understand that but that rant video doesn't look good especially when wanting to maintain a good relationship with the club regarding media passes/Access ect ⚫⚪ @@AdamPearson1242
infuriating post does he think our owners are stupid
Relax they dont get to where they are by being Dummet
We have to strike a balance.
Current restrictions aren’t great!
But unlimited spending, although it would benefit us, would ultimately be horrendous for the game.
I don’t want people to get the impression we have a unlimited spending spree, the new rule is huge for keeping our top players at the club without the fear of selling them
All designed to protect man city
Spend spend spend
