The Golden Thimble Award is a competition for all 16 to 18 year olds. Entry is open to UK citizens only. Entry is available to those who aspire to become Tailors. Portfolio presentation of each entrant's design and sewing interest must be up to date. The 10 best applicants will be short listed. Competition application is open as of 16 July 2018. To get an entry pack prospective candidates need to register their interest by emailing Info@savilerowacademy.co.uk

I really love tailoring.... I don't know how to sew tho but I've been teaming up with a tailor, giving him my designs and we've made some decent suits.... There is no day I don't think about suits

@@FingerBreakerWu Savile Row existed LONG before he ever came along, it's been there since the reign of Victoria. It's not even spelled the same: Savile Row (one) / Jimmy Saville (two)
"It was created during the development of the Burlington Estate in the early 1730s and named after the Earl of Burlington's wife, Lady Dorothy Savile. The street was mainly occupied by military officers and their wives until tailors started to take premises in the 1800s." A quick search brings this up. Forget Jimmy Saville he's a filthy nobody. Savile Row means quality, craftsmanship and class.
Well that's why they created an award to attract 16 year olds.
