    One thing I like about this car is the 1900KG braked towing capacity! The BMW 3 Series can only tow 1800KG braked. BUT the Audi A6 Allroad can tow 2500KG braked that is 500KG better than a Land Rover Freelander!!! It also had air suspension and electric deployable tow bar!!! With a 4WD drivetrain!!!

    This is the first time i´ve ever heard matt mention that mercedes is better at something than audi or bmw. I´ve been driving a C250 CDI 4MATIC estate now for a year and I am very happy with it. Goes like a train on motorways and handles superbly on smaller roads. The engine is also quieter on idle than the audi a4 2.0 TDI or bmw 320d.

    the Diesel 3.0 V6 is a 'Monster' of an engine too - very fast and 500nm of torque

    2009 Audi A4 TDI bought with 75,000 miles on clock.
    At 100,000 miles I had to replace the flywheel 1,200 euro
    At 110,000 miles service and timing kit 650 euro
    At 111,000 miles intake manifold motor died possibly 600-700 euro
    In garage at the moment.
    Also the bulbs die on a regular basis.
    Mercedes for me next time,This Audi is getting to be more of a headache than the Range Rover I owned.

      My dad has had 3 Audis as Business Cars so far and none of them every had any major problems, if at all. And all of them had run about ~ 180.000 km in 3 or 4 years.
      The last one had an engine breakdown but that was his very own fault for not taking it to a workshop when the cooling system had a leak and was missing pressure. But that leak again wasn't really the car's fault, think it was an animal but im not sure anymore. Thing is he didnt want to have the trouble as the car was issued for an inspection in the "next 2000-4000 km anyway"...

    This car is amazing.It handles great and have great balance trough the corners.Maybe its not that fun like the bmwseries but have many other things that are better. The interior quality is better and is very stylish especially if you have wood and navigation with so many buttons. You have more space then in the 3 series or mercedes c class. The ride is harsh on bad road especially if you have 17'' wheels and sport suspension. You will feel every bump that you passed.Thats the only negative side

    Those stats are true, however even though total precipitations are higher in Rome for example (where I've lived for most of my life) they're concentrated in less days, so it's not drizzling every single day as in London (I prefer heavy rain, and then a week of sun). And actually the real difference is that even when it's not raining it's cloudy so everything stays wet.

    Their miles and gallons are larger than ours. If you ignore the fact that the tests are conducted differently (our test deals with American conditions and they have a European test), 61 imperial mpg=50 american mpg. Again, though, the test is conducted to reflect European driving conditions which apparently allow greater efficiency. Neither hit the mark but they do create a difference. That, and it is a diesel, which implies efficiency.

    • @zerocool801
      @zerocool801 Před 10 lety +3

      @MrBluedanube Před 10 lety +1

    • @zerocool801
      @zerocool801 Před 10 lety +12

      1) - UK gallons are bigger than US gallons:
      1 UK Imperial Gallon = 4.55 litres
      1 US Liquid Gallon = 3.79 litres
      2) - UK mpg figures will be calculated using the EU's methods, the US mpg figures will be calculated using the EPS's methods.
      They are different, and the different cycles (Urban, Extra-Urban and Combined for the EU, City and Highway for the EPA) don't directly compare.

    It's ignorance and jealousy; most of the haters have never owned an Audi. Audi's are far from boring, as a matter of fact they are among the best cars for personalizing. I'm not talking about "ricing" out a car with cheap add-on’s but having the ability to significantly improve on the stock performance as well as customizing the looks. Google "custom Audi A4" and view photos of all the ways a personal statement can be made with these reliable, safe and classy cars. That said, haters gonna hate!

    On the note of flat folding rear seat - in Australia, our antiquated child safety standard that refused the adoption of ISOFIX system means it mandates all car manufacturers to mount the unsightly and protruding child seat anchor at the back of the seat, so you can't push heavy item to slide over the back of the folded car seat and had to struggle to lift the thing up and hope that any heavy item will not break the child anchor plastic cover.
